NoAngelHappy to see you're back this Sunday! I had never seen the Michael Orland quote before. Thanks for that and another thought provoking article. Here's another quote about thanking others: "...the Metropolitan credo is to develop talent, not create "stars," so during Lambert's teen years, he mentored younger actors (which she said involved everything from "teaching them a dance step to wiping a runny nose"). And he was cast as often in the ensemble as in the lead -- even though he had the kind of talent she said "you only see once in a lifetime." "It grounds them. It's like being part of a team or a family. It teaches you humility," she said. "Adam truly is as genuine as he looks on television. His family gave him a great foundation, and I like to think we helped give him a lot of good values. Did you see on every 'Idol' episode how he thanked the orchestra or the band? Those are the things we still teach our kids today. You get what you give. What you put out there in the universe comes back to you. And you see that sense of kindness and generosity in Adam's persona."

NoAngel & 4Ms..... Ditto to these on the great article this morning. I think this quote from the MET2 article is on spot about why Adam is so gracious in thanking his collaborators. In theatre, they all learn to be part of a team to put together a great performance, and it takes everyone doing their best to pull it together. Even the stage hands, lighting and sound experts and props people are involved in putting together a great stage production. Adam would have learned the importance of teamwork, and in valuing the other members and actors in a play production. I think this is rare in the recording industry. There was a video posted a couple of months ago of Adam in the recording studio, I don't remember what producer he was working with, but after he finished singing, he went down the to the room where the orchestra was playing and thanked them all and told them how beautifully they played, and you could tell that this was unusual for an artist to do, and very special. If someone remembers this vid, please post it! Adam is an amazing performer and an amazing person, and we are all lucky to be stanning him, and witnessing his greatness growing world wide. Can't wait for vids of the Russia concert, I'm sure he will blow everyone away!!

According to the news, only Iceland's main international aiport is closed. The Grimvoln volcano is spitting coaser material that settles quickly and the plume is not heading towards Europe like the April 2010 volcanic eruption that stranded 10 million peeps.

Morning to all!
Ahhh, a hot cup of coffee and Adamtopia, Sunday edition, not a better way to start the day.
I've been pretty busy lately and have missed a lot, must go back to see the thread from last night's twitter party.
JustKaren, love the map of Atop members, and hoping some of yall get out of the ocean so we can see where you are from. Also, great to have a couple of new Russian members here, sorry, don't remember your names, but a big WELCOME! I love the international flavor of this board. Catz ~ so glad your surgery went well and you are back to good health, and that your Mom's house situation is resolved, you deserve all the good things that are coming to you.
Happy Birthday to everyone of late, and welcome to all the new members!

I wake & sleep at odd hours because I'm going through a "change". Not fun! Whether I'm Hot or Cold has no relation to the temperature in the room either! Trying to go through this without drugs/hormones! No not fun!!!I'm not a doctor but I also went through this situation without drugs or hormones. I was only taking off my jacket and then putting it on, and then off, and on, and off and on... and then putting a blanket and off and on Been there, done that, but I will say that there are some wonderful over the counter herbal supplements that are very helpful with night sweats, insommnia, etc. pm me if you want some recommendations. IMO not necessary to suffer through all this without some natural herbal remedies that really help!
