 OK, ATOP detectives, here is a challenge. I have been looking for the Upright Cabaret perf of IICHU. Just luv this version. Was one of the first songs I listened to after AI. He sings it with so much emotion that it makes your heart break. Can't find it anywhere. Could it have been pulled after he sang it on AI? And I am positive he sang it at Upright. I even have an image of him on the piano with his heartbroken face still lurking in my brain. :  I never saw an Upright performance of that song. Are you sure you are not confusing it with "I Can't Make You Love Me" which is delivered in a very similar style? He also did "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore" and "Come Home" and both of those are also heart wrenching. If you do find it please post the link here because I've never heard that he did that one outside of Idol at all. |

It has lines, like these other songs, that talk about 'coming home', 'can and can't' - they are all so beautiful they make me want to cry - every single one has the emotion of "If I Can't Have You" - - - - Oh, we follow such a marvelous soul - - - - |

The finale is actually Tues (competition) & Wed (results) this week. Adam will be there on Wed. i thought it was changed for this week. It was. This year the competition show has been on Wed and results on Thurs. From what I heard, sweeps week ends Wed and there is no chance that TPTB would have the finale 1 day late. |

Did anyone actually write letters to the TN Chamber of Commerce as was discussed the other day? I signed a petition that was being sent to the corporations on the board of the Chamber of Commerce who were responsible for pushing the law. I know everyone just has fun with the "family friendly" thing and the ~joke about believing Adam - but, honestly, GNT was pretty darn family friendly for a rock concert. From the youtubes I've seen of Gaga, Kesha, Sister Scissors and others, GNT was totally TAME. My family was fine with it. My son was 11 for the 2 shows we attended. Even the ~sexual stair writhing in Milwaukee didn't concern him - I'm not sure he even really noticed. I can't remember if AFL swore at all for our shows - maybe not - but even if he did, there is an awful lot of that on TV and in movies. I really think Adam was right about GNT, it WAS "family friendly" for a ROCK/POP Concert! Sure it wasn't Barney, Sesame Street or the Wiggles, but I can't imagine anyone going to a concert like this and expecting that level of family friendly |
