Are the Adam fans gonna get crap because Chris Medina couldn't get tickets to the finale (see Lindsey's article) and Adam and Sauli will be there? Are we gonna get crap if Lee is not in the audience? Are we gonna get crap if Adam is in some type of group number? Yep

But I'll be there!!! ;D

I feel sorry for the guy: LeeDeWyze Lee DeWyze by Squirrely007 Hey guys, no I'm not performing at the Finale. I wasn't asked to . A lot of questions so I thought I'd fill you in. Talk to you soon I may be in the minority of one, but I don't feel sorry for Lee. He is like tens of thousands of other struggling singer/songwriters with guitars around the country who search long and hard for gigs in local clubs and bars hoping for their big break. Lee got his break -- although I don't see anything unique or extra talented about him that I haven't seen in many local performers who hold down day jobs while trying to book gigs on Friday and Saturday night. He got exposure in front of 30 million viewers week after week on Idol, toured the country as the headliner on the Idol tour, made a record, and now has steady work doing what he loves to do. It is up to him to make the most out of this rare opportunity and these wonderful contacts he now has. If his talent, skill, originality, and charisma don't win him a large following and music business acclaim, that's squarely on him. I know that sounds callous, but that is the music biz, guys. I checked out what he is up to currently, and he has a summer tour booked in what looks like mostly college campuses and clubs around the country. I watched a couple of tour performances on YT, and he has the typical WGWG line up; himself with guitar at the mic, with a keyboard backup and a drummer. That lineup and performance style fits the venues in which he is booked. Tens of thousands of singers/guitar players/piano players dream of hitting it big and becoming a star. They are lucky if they can find consistent work in a club on weekends. I know. I have a sister who is immensely musically talented, and has a gig two nights a week at a local bar, which is constantly threatening to close. She is one of a handful of piano stylists who even work in her town. That's reality. Lee has had the dream with Idol, he has had the wide exposure, the contacts, the contracts, the opportunities. That's all very good. If the producers of Idol do not think that his performance will enhance their big 10th anniversary finale, that's just a business decision. I don't think they "owe" him an appearance. I don't feel sorry for Lee about his career, but it is almost part of the win to be able to be at the idol finale to sort of pass the torch. Like him or not, deserving or not, he was the winner last year, and that win should give him the right to appear this last time on the finale in some way. After that, he is on his own. That is just my opinion based on the traditions of the show, anyway.

Q3, I loved the political action and info thread in Adamtopia 1. Can we start a political action thread here and put it near the members (personal stuff) thread? With all the links to the petitions to sign in the header. I will add it. Just one exception -- please keep partisan US politics off this site. It might cause me issues if this gets classified as a partisan site (Democrats vs. Republicans vs. Libertarians vs. Greens vs. whatever) will do : ) no partisan politics.

I could swear that no former idols performed or appeared on the finale of AI4 but I could be wrong.
I do think it sucks for Lee but it is what it is. Season 9 was one of, if not the worst season ever of the show.

I do not have many follower's, they probably ALL signed and found the link before I did :D Thank you for posting the video of the dancers dancing to WWFM, beautiful. So very excited about VH1, August 10th can not come soon enough. So funny........regarding the article calling Adam's hair "frosted", my mother used to "frost" her hair, Adam is evidently bringing it back into vogue. Sorry, just for fun!!!!!
