Only 4,000 to get to 500k exactly one week after the release.
Can we do this???? Let's try!

You are right! I can see it daily in my school - my students talk about the song, they are listening to it, humming it - this is so amazing (I didn't experience anything like that during Trespassing era.) Honestly, there has never been a song like this -- or at least not that I can find. It was never a "big" hit in the US, UK, Germany or Japan -- the big for music markets. It did have a significant, but never massive radio, presence in the US. And was #11 in Germany. And yet it has been in the 40's on the Spotify global chart for weeks and weeks. It has 80K plays and it track to break 100K in about 2 months. It is a new kind of sleeper hit. I agree. Here in little ole Huntsville, Alabama, our local AC station Star 99.1 (or it might be HAC), has still been playing Ghost Town regularly during drive time and they even run a promo announcment that says something like "we play today's hottest hits" and then they play a clip of Ghost Town and Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams". I can't remember ever hearing an Adam song in one of those type ads anywhere. It is amazing!!

It has 80K plays and it track to break 100K in about 2 months. It is a new kind of sleeper hit. A few days ago, Q3 was skillfully explaining to us, how M sometimes means roman numeral M=1000 and sometimes M for Mega or Million. And it can get confusing, but I have to say, I have never seen the letter K used to express Millions. That song is far less asleep than you think. 80,000 views on Spotify would truly be a sleeper, but the song is far from asleep, it is wide awake, all around the world, and as you say, especially in the second and third world, in the non-traditional music markets. Anyone know, how many weeks it has been in the Top 50 World charts on Spotify? It must be at least 5 weeks, if not more by now. I guess, I could start checking the numbers thread, but I would have to figure out where to start, and I got some little ones that need to got to bed, so I let to others, who know their way around over there. This song, that in the US barely managed to scrape the top 20, and in the UK was completely snuffed not only by the BBC but all of radio, has made it into these charts and is showing staying power. Shows how important it was to break this radio monopoly and its marriage with label promotion apart a bit. The music charts have gotten so much richer over the last few years. The customers have a voice now, and the customers like this song, and they like it more, the more they hear it, which is also rare. It is a beautiful thing to see.

You know, Frank Sinatra didn't write his songs. He couldn't read music. Some of the great songs he sang were written by the best of his generation - Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Larry Hart, Irving Berlin.
I would love to hear Adam sing some of the songs that came from these great composers. 'Love For Sale'; 'You're Nearer'; 'My Funny Valentine'; 'Every Time We Say Goodbye'; 'Alone Together'; 'Do It Again'; 'The Man That Got Away' - -
I think Adam might know this music. It's often performed in theatre. If any of you 'out there' aren't familiar with these tunes, take a moment, find them, and listen if you can. They are amazing. Lyrics are amazing. Adam would bring me to my knees, singing these songs. Just heartbreakingly beautiful. Timeless.

I bought a $30+ ticket that topped at $40 at the pre-sale and refundable SW airlines tickets. It is a pretty good seat just off the floor in the first row towards the back of the arena. It is really hard to tell what seat you are getting so I might wait and upgrade later as usually it happens that seats become available. I have the pre-sale code. If you want it, PM me. Buy a cheap ticket! Just let it go if the weather doesn't cooperate. I have decent tickets for the buffalo show. I live in Toronto and its roughly an hour and a halfish drive. If the weather is bad I won't be going. I am in Buffalo tonight catching an early flight for vacation at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow. As we were driving in to Buffalo tonight I saw the venue where Adam will play. It's a large venue. I turned on the radio station that is promoting the concert and they are promoting the heck out of it. There are SEVERAL artists on the bill - so I don't think I will get more than 3 or 4 songs. Like I said if the weather is bad I won't be able to go - and the tickets were not cheap (especially with the Canadian exchange rate). That being said it will be worth it - I haven't seen Adam since QAL Toronto !!!!! Praying for no snow and still holding out hope for a Toronto date soonish !!

No way could he get by and not know some of the classics. Imo, just like a piano player, who needs to know how to accompany some of these, Adam would have to know how to sing them, I would presume.

I see she still has Adam performaing 2 nights at The Joint in Las Vegas. Anyone have any actual factual information about a 2nd concert on Sunday Dec 6th in Las Vegas? I can't imagine that Adam would do concerts 6 nights in a row! ETA - I sent mmadamimadamm a tweet. All times on her calendar are in EDT. So the concert starts at 8 pm Las Vegas time and goes to 11 pm which is 2 am EDT. So on her calendar it spills over into Sunday and thus the 1 concert appears on both Saturday and Sunday on the calendar.
