Only way I was able to stay up was that Jimmy Fallon had the Pentatonix on
They are awesome. What a double bill! Can't wait. Will be praying for good flying weather!!

You are right! I can see it daily in my school - my students talk about the song, they are listening to it, humming it - this is so amazing  (I didn't experience anything like that during Trespassing era.) Honestly, there has never been a song like this -- or at least not that I can find. It was never a "big" hit in the US, UK, Germany or Japan -- the big for music markets. It did have a significant, but never massive radio, presence in the US. And was #11 in Germany. And yet it has been in the 40's on the Spotify global chart for weeks and weeks. It has 80K plays and it track to break 100K in about 2 months. It is a new kind of sleeper hit. Yes, it surprised me too. I think Spotify, YT and dedicated fans maybe helped a little (because they've tried their best to keep the song live). I know it didn't go very good here in the CR first. Anyway after some time it started to rise on our iTunes and Spotify and radio started to play it more often and today it's everywhere here. I really don't know how it happened, but I'm happy it did.  |
