It'd be terrific if Adam could be a part of that tribute! Talk about organic connections. Would be lovely to hear him sing a Sinatra classic. Also, "Another Lonely Night" kind of has a tinge of a big band/swing sound (modernized) and the video was shot in Las Vegas, one of Sinatra's stomping grounds, so Adam could work in some tie-ins in interviews. Since the article says the show airs December 6 and "will be taped live at the Wynn in Las Vegas a few days beforehand," I was worried that he wouldn't be able to do it if he were asked because he has concerts December 3-5. But I read on sinatra.com that the show tapes on December 2, so it's perfect timing! Some earlier articles report that Lady Gaga will join Tony Bennett, but I don't know if that worked out since she hasn't been announced yet. Bennett, John Legend, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Adam Levine, and Alicia Keys are the only names mentioned so far. Trying to think of which Sinatra song I'd most like to hear Adam sing . . . "I Did It MY WAY" would fit Adama both musically and personally! I suspect there will be a dog fight for that song and Adam just does not have the clout...everyone will want that. My bet is on Gaga..she is most suitable for it...unless she is singing with Bennet.. It is not my favourite but dam would kill Fly me to the Moon...or any of them actually. Now if Nancy had a significant say our chances may be better...but her eye will be on the prize too so ....... and yes...I would love to see him sing Another Lonely Night the most...it would work as a "see how things change but stay the same" segment.....  |
