Is there a fainting smiley around here? Since yesterday ALN has racked up over 30 plays on radio here in the UK which is almost as many as GT got in its entire run, lol! Capital FM Manchester has apparently played it 5 times already, which must include drivetime spins I should imagine. Wow. I also see a Heart station has played it too, so if Heart are on board as well as Capital, that's fantastic - those are the two main networks that make hits here. After the way GT was blanked I find it hard to take in to be honest - I think I saw some of these - YES!! It's happening! (In the UK this time)

Nice to have some good news from here for a change I imagine the same "rules" apply as elsewhere: if a station you listen to plays it, give 'em some love? I dunno - we haven't had anything to respond to yet this era, so it's new to me!

Nice! I wonder if Adam will be there to receive it together with Brian and Roger The awards take place on Wednesday, November 11th at The Roundhouse in London. If Adam's in that neck of the woods at the time, I'm sure he would attend, but I've lost track of all the things he's doing lately. I wonder how he has any time to plan his tour coming up in January, plus put it together and rehearse.. awards.classicrock.teamrock.com/

Nice! I wonder if Adam will be there to receive it together with Brian and Roger classicrock.teamrock.com/news/2015-10-16/queen-receive-classic-rock-living-legend-awardQUEEN RECEIVE CLASSIC ROCK LIVING LEGEND AWARD NEWS / CLASSIC ROCK / 16 OCT 2015 The Classic Rock Roll Of Honour announce Queen as the recipients of this year's Living Legend Award Forty years after the release of Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen have been announced as the recipients of this year's Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Living Legend Award. The award will be presented at this year's awards show, which takes place at The Roundhouse in Camden, London. “I don’t think there could be a more perfect year for us to honour Queen with the Roll Of Honour’s headline award," says Siân Llewellyn, Editor of Classic Rock Magazine. "Almost four decades to the day that one of rock’s defining songs made its phenomenal presence known, we get to celebrate the incredible, unparalleled career of the band that made it and who changed the world’s soundscape forever.” Previous recipients of the awards have included Gregg Allman, ZZ Top, Jeff Beck, Rush, Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne, Jimmy Page, Alice Cooper and Lemmy. This year's Roll Of Honour Awards Show takes place on November 11, and will be hosted by Chris Jericho. Voting in the publicly voted categories (Best New Band, plus Band, Album, Film and Reissue of the year) is open until October 27.

Whoever wrote that copy for the paper is clueless, Adam is not a part of this as he will be in China and nor should he be.

BBC RADIO better get their fingers out their rear ends this time Lol! I'd be very surprised if he doesn't get Radio 2 support given that they were one of the very few stations to play GT (albeit mostly in the middle of the night ), but I doubt he'll get Radio 1 - too "old" for them The good news is that if Capital really like ALN, Radio 1 support is irrelevant - they don't make hits in the way Capital does because they don't spin songs with nearly the same frequency. An A list song on Radio 1 gets 20+ spins per week; a well-supported track on Capital gets upwards of 60 spins per week. Huge difference. Of course, not every song gets spun to death on Capital, and not every song that gets that treatment becomes a hit, but at least it looks like ALN will be getting a fighting chance, unlike GT. Go ALN!

I dunno - we haven't had anything to respond to yet this era, so it's new to me! I would certainly think so. Here is CapitalFM s twitter. mobile.twitter.com/CapitalOfficial/tweets watch their responses from the 1d fans, 1d dropped a new single this morning. Look at their web page. www.capitalfm.com/music-news/ they write articles about hearing from fans ( kinda silly but whatev). Is there a UK fan network you can access? Not to be a Debbie Downer but to have the song being spun as many times as you said in the last 24 hours and not a peep From any UK AL fans hearing it is a bit disconcerting. Is there that big of a disconnect between the fan base demographics and radio listening?
