Aw, thanks for the good wishes and the laughs, guys. I'm feeling much better, though still a little weak. And Vivlite--I love MVP  --I've always been a huge sports fan but unfortunately a sucky athlete so I've never been the Most Valuable Player of anything! Until now! OH,  , last laugh is on me. Well, you are not only now MWP but Most Valuable Player..not bad for one fever.. so embarrased Sorry...WOOPS! |

Midwifespal, I am so sorry to hear about your sickness. You made it sound rather entertaining but it must have been awful. I am glad you are feeling better.

OMG, MWP!! What an ordeal and I can't believe you had to miss out on London (and potentially hanging with Adam and Sauli – I totally believe it would have happened too!!) is just HEARTBREAKING.  That fever disease sounds FREAKY!! I seriously don't think I've had more than one or two fevers as an adult and they lasted maybe a few hours. I guess you didn't have a headache, but I would fear meningitis. Soooo glad you're doing better and yeah, that was hilarious. A small whale in the North Atlantic floating belly up .... bwahahahaha!! And at first that Gollum pic wasn't loading for me. I'm so glad I refreshed to see what the image was. Classic! |

K - I'm officially back in Love with Sheila E -
Drummers - have ALWAYS been my "thing"! Although, I played HeWhoCannot amedet though school - I have always LOVED drummers! They lay down the "beat" (along with the Bass player) that the rest of us played on top of! Sheila E grew up not far from me (an Oakland High grad) Her family still plays local venues here (SF Bay Area)! Love her!

Thanks to all of you guys for your good wishes. ((((Hugs you all)))) I'm feeling MUCH better (although the doctor just called with some more test results--no Lyme disease, so that's good, but she mumbled something about weird liver values, and wants me to follow up on that...grrrr...who wouldn't have weird liver values after downing 18 bottles of Advil in four days, hmmm? I'm not worried about it...) Gosh, Seoulmate, , I don't know what to say, such an honor, an MVP award and a Global Warming Whine award in the same day, I'm all verklempt, um, I'd like to thank the academy, sniff, my mom and dad, sob...and could we please have a moment of silence for the small whale who gave up his life to make this possible...I'd like to dedicate this award to him. (And vivlite--please don't worry about the MVP thing!! I loved it!) SusieFierce: I'm a total hypochondriac and of course I did have a terrible headache and sore muscles and a stiff neck from all that fever, so my mind went straight to meningitis, too, but when I finally worked up the guts to ask a friend of mine who'd just graduated from med-school about that theory, he patted me reassuringly and said, don't worry, if it were meningitis you'd be long dead by now. Great. thanks for that. So no, not meningitis, thankfully. (Now I'm off to drink some wine from my whine-cup!) |
