My youngest brother Brian with his youngest son Zachary (my Z-Man ) at Fenway Park yesterday! Zach was invited to play for a team at Cooperstown! His big Bro is Justin - the one I told you about who's plays Pro-BB in Sweden! (they went to a Red Sox game before driving to Cooperstown!)

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question: gelly - has the Greek Debt Crisis affected you (or should I say the average person) yet? I guess retirement age has been raised (still lower than the US) and benefits cut (still higher than the US). I don't know how accurate that information is. From MSNBC and: nyti.ms/a7wBRR

I guess retirement age has been raised (still lower than the US) and benefits cut (still higher than the US). I don't know how accurate that information is. From MSNBC and: nyti.ms/a7wBRR JazzRocks Thank you for asking. Yes as you say, retirement age has been raised and many benefits are cut. Greece is hell right now for almost everybody. Every day thousands of people are fired from their jobs, houses are lost... It has not affected me, but my children's future. I'm fortunate enough (although this comes from a very sad situation) to have a home that I own completely, a big pension from my late husband and I'm still working. I also took advantage of a law that doesnt exist any more (they cut it at the end of 2010 but I managed to gather the papers in time). This law said that when you have a child under 18 and you're working for many years (I've been working since I was 18) you can retire and have a (small) pension even though your age doesn't fit for a pension (sorry for my bad english but I dont know how to write legal stuff). So now if I want to, I can stop working, but my friends tell me not to. I havent decided yet what am I going to do. While I'm still working the pension is cut, when I decide to stop I will get it, whenever this is going to happen. Also my job is kind of hell but I didnt say anything here. My boss came from Athens a month ago and he's cutting expenses. He fired everyone from the Nothern department and kept me and 2 other people. We're also gonna move from the offices we are right now, probably in the very near future. My daughter who just finished her thesis at the University is looking for a job, ANY job cause she doesn't want to stay at home but she can't. The more knowledge you have, the worst. She is actually thinking of not writing all the languages she knows and her studies at her bio cause they don't want to pay more money. My son is still young but..... Things are not going to get better soon for Greece. There are riots, 1.000.000 people were gathered 5 days ago in Athens shouting "we cant take it any more" .THINGS ARE BAD. I'm crying for my country and for the MF politicians that got her in this situation. But I have my head high and I'm hoping for the best. I have been through to much worse situations than this one. Work never scared me. I'm still young enough to fight.
