Ok, well for soaking the feet I recommend 1/3 cider vinegar to 2/3rds water. Of course this was for soaking my grandmothers feet to help stop toe nail fungus. However I used a new batch on the tween over Christmas as his feet were itching mighty fiercely. It did seem to help and we did it for several days.

Okay, I'll try grandma's recipe. I just used epsom salts.

QueeenAl.... your mom may be disappointed that you cannot express yourself properly in German, but you certainly express yourself with perfect clarity in English. You are obviously completely bi-lingual, with even a slight edge on the English side. When you are reading through the threads here on ATop, do you ever come across expressions you haven't heard before? Like weird idioms or slang expressions? re weird idioms ... quite the opposite actually ... The huge diversity among ATOPians ensures that any differences are addressed on a daily basis, so non UStopians are never left out since most topics are being talked about anyway. And so I keep on learning new expressions. Most of the other slang is related to Adam and I can find it in the appropriate board/site/page ... and may I add how much fun it was when I found that!!!!! And the more comfortable I get here ... which is a given ... the more I will not hesitate to ask anyway .... All the different ways of expression and speech on this board are an additional draw for me (in addition to HBIC AFL) and add to the fun. (Glimpses into different cultural perceptions are even more interesting, but would require an essay I am not feeling up to at the best of times ... I am sure there are others who can wax on that one much better than me.) But getting back to my original post, I just wanted to let you guys know how some Europeans happened to fall into the rabbit hole of a foreign language and never got out .... and now we NEVER WANT TO !!! Because I don't think Adams songs would sound as sexy in German ;-) ETA: I just found the phrase " that's my story and I'm stickin' to it" in a book I am currently reading .... without you guys that would not have hit my radar at all ... reading it here all the time, well it just got me giggling .... inserting all your fantasies that I can remember into the book I'm reading ... throws one off, let me tell ya PPA: leo.org is still my best friend! Would you know how to spell "throws" off the top off your head?? Still doesnt' look right to me though ...

I've been an ESL teacher for many years, and I spend a lot of time fervently apologizing to my students for the craziness of English spelling. :-[ :-[

Congratulations laceyrose! It will be quite year. My son is putting out his album this year. Here is a deep cut from his CD, kind of an interlude piece almost between songs, very chill. it reminds me of the mood I felt watching the rain pour down from inside a tree house on the beach in Costa Rica. for anyone interested www.spinner.com/2012/01/17/classixx-fax-from-the-beach-video/
