Awww thank you stardust so much! I'm starting to lose my hope after 2 years of struggles in Greece, I'm really trying to hang on, but it's very hard. Thank you so much, your love and support helps a lot. Time to pack your bags and pack up your kids and move to Canada. ;D

... and in the continuing adventure that is my life, I have to let you all know that I have just spend 50 (yes, you read that correctly) 50 hours in a train, in some trainstation, because of enormous quantities of snow. Like, five meters of snow... I think the correct phrase at this moment is FML. 50 hours inside the actual train? Or stuck inside the station??? HOLY CRAP!!! FML, indeed! Here on the west coast of Canada it's been such a mild winter... I have some pots outside on my balcony, and already there are spring bulbs pushing their way out of the soil. Some are more than four inches (aroud 10 cm) high!! ;D Well, in both actually: in the train, mostly, since it was so damn cold outside. Also, we spent about 20 of those 50 hours out in a damn field, between two cities. Oh, I'm glad you had a mild winter. Actually, I did as well, up until two weeks ago, when we turned into "winter wonderland". >:( Also, it's snowing. Again.

Hi. I'm in need of some good vibes from you wonderful people. The doctor recently found a tiny spot in my Mom's chest on an x-ray. She had a biopsy done a few days ago. She called last night to say that it is cancer. She now goes for a ct scan and other tests to determine what when where why and how. I'm scared.

Thanks for the wishes and prayers guys. Don't worry gelly. I can sometimes fall apart about something trivial. But when it comes to a crisis, my NJ upbringing kicks in and I'm a tough little bitch.
seoulmate, she lives in Florida and I live in NY. Hubby works for Jetblue, so we fly for free though. Also, my step dad is a great and patient care giver.
The doctor determined that it's lung cancer. Shit. She goes for a pet scan and Monday to see if it has spread to anywhere else. Please, please, please no. Once that result is in, he'll send her to an oncologist and we'll take it from there. Just praying that it's minor and will just require surgery. She's a pretty healthy 74 year old - thank god.
The whole thing is kind of a double whammy. My uncle (her twin brother) was recently diagnosed with cancer of the kidney which is spreading. They cannot operate or do chemo because of his poor health in other areas. My Mom lives on a motor coach and they went down to Florida to take care of my uncle.
The whole thing really sucks, but I'm trying to think positive.
Thanks again.
