This is completely OT, well maybe so OT, but I thought it was lovely in that whilst it shows there's still work to be done, attitudes are changing Dad perfectly shuts down trolls who called his son’s kitchen playset ‘gay’
From one dad’s heartwarming reaction to his son’s new doll to another’s touching promise to dress as a Disney princess to match his little boy this Halloween, there are some serious contenders for our ‘Dad of the Year’ – and another’s just joined the ranks.
Reddit user sixstringhook’s son loves watching his parents cook, so when his second birthday came around, he built his boy a homemade kitchen playset complete with a refrigerator, taps and an oven with working LED lights.
But after posting a picture of his incredible handiwork online, internet trolls were quick to brand his son a “faggot” over his choice of hobby.
“You should rename your son Caitlyn,” wrote one commenter, while another wrote: “You are what is wrong with your country… I hope your kid gets beat up at school.”
One person added: “Seems a little gay to me.”
The dad in question wasn’t going to take the criticism lying down though, standing his ground and rightly telling the trolls: “If my kid wanted a Barbie doll I would get it for him.”
He wrote: “Well, going off of comments I have received both online, and in person regarding my wife and I’s decision to make our SON a kitchen playset and several ‘daughter’ comments and ‘but he is a boy’, let me be perfectly blunt.
“Fuck you.”
He continued: “Anytime we go to our local science center, or to the children’s museum, [our son] always wants to play in the kitchen playset area. He always wants to watch us cook and likes being involved, so we thought this would be a good idea.
“Furthermore, if my kid wanted a Barbie doll I would get it for him. If that is what he wants, then that is what he wants.
“It’s his decision what he wants to play with. Not mine.”

I caught up with all the interviews Adam did in Australia (busy man he is).
In Yesterday's thread it came up, and I have been thinking about it more. So probably X Factor Australia invited Adam to come over: what is the deal with the costs: does X factor pay for the plane tickets and hotel tickets? Does the record company do that? And Adam did also other interviews when he was in Australia: does that lower the costs for X factor?
Like when he was in Amsterdam: on saturday he played the 538 festival, so I guess they paid Adam and for the hotel and plain? But sunday he did the tv show Kun Je Het Al Zien: did he got paid for that, or not: cause it is promo and a win win situation for the program and for Adam.
Does anyone know how this is handled in the music business?

xfactor_au We were pretty jealous of the view our judges got during this performance! It was like their own private concert... #lambertonxf #glamberts #adamlambert @adamlambert #xfactorau http://instagr.am/p/9GUMblniaA
