Steven Tyler is supposed to perform Dream On for the finale. If I missed it, sorry if this post is out of sequence for the night but wonder if there will be a reprise of the entrance he made for the MTV Video Awards. He arrives on a "flying" piano with full orchestra. Won't be the same without the rest of the band there. I put this in the AI thread but nobody is there. Hey.. maybe Steven will sing duet with Gokey.. singing Dream On maybe?? no?? Geez - I hope NO!

This finale really doesn't feel very much like it is about American Idol. It is almost like a variety show sponsored by American Idol.
With little bits of Idol thrown in here and there.

only that he criticized her gown on the Red Carpet at an awards show Carrie was raised as a Free Will Baptist so it is likely she has a problem with his sexual orientation. I respect her for staying silent about it. I'm never sure what crosses the line around here when it comes to responding to others but I gotta say I know a lot of people who were raised in strict fundamentalist baptist homes who don't have any issue with homosexuality so that seems to me to be a pretty unfair generalization.

Thanks,Q3, I was thinking along those lines. The pacing is like that of an old time TV variety show. Also, " how much money can we spend?"

Absolutely loved the Beyonce song. Quite a difference from that Girls Rule the World(?) POC.
Awww, I forgot, Adam gets to see Reeve Carney, too, tonight!

I totally agree - its like they are trying to hit every demographic and genre. All that aside, its a lot more entertaining than I thought it would be.
