LOL, I'm tired too and it's only 3:00 p.m. here. Work continues to get more stressful. Where's that meditating dog??
About Adam's tweet, Claude Kelly tweeted the same thing, almost verbatim about 30 minutes after Adam. My guess is that ASCAP requested its artists promote the show via Twitter because the show is a vehicle to bring a greater respect to the craft of songwriting. Adam is identifying very much as a songwriter right now and I feel he would happily do whatever he could for his union if they requested it.
I say more power to him as an artists. He is owning his creative strengths right now and that's great.
On that same note, I REALLY hope this isn't going to become a butthurt fan dynamic where people get bent if he doesn't give a shout out to every event.

I told my son that I was going to bed by 10:00 pm tonight so I could get up at 4:30 am for Adam's Moscow concert. He asked if there was a live stream. I told him I haven't heard of any yet. Then he says, "You mean to tell me that you are getting up at 4:30 am to sit at your computer to see, YOU HOPE, a live stream of Adam? And if there isn't one you'll still be there looking at tweets translated from a different language and reading post from a website?! I said that yeah...it sounds reasonable to me! ;D I'm out of practice sitting here clamly waiting for the concert  .... I want it now!!!!!  [/size] |

LOL I'm not sure why I find this so funny. Makes me smile big though.. I guess Russia has it's share of fans with no boundaries too. About 4 people just reached out and touched Tommy's hair. What!!! Probably people have already discussed this to death. |

OK, this is sorta OT, but I guess it shows how ~everything comes around to AFL in my head! :D
I play the hammered dulcimer and I have a lesson tomorrow morning - the piece I am learning is a traditional Japonese song called Kojo no Tsuki. I went to youtube to see what I could find since I like hearing how a piece ~should sound which helps me learn. I was a little surprised when the first video I found was of the Scorpions! Went ahead and listened to it to see what it could be and really liked it - the first part is sung accapella and then the band plays the song and it is just cool hearing the folk-song like music with electric guitars.
This immediately made me think of Anthrogeek's jokes about Adam singing Greensleaves - but now I'm thinking, "Hey, why not?" if the Scorpians can do it, then Adam can also!
(Pretty much every other video I found was flute, violin, etc as you would expect - but I think I am liking the Scorpian's version the best just because it was so unexpected)
