Seoulmate, I hope your son is well past the difficult stages of getting a handle on addiction difficulties. Seems as though that might be the case as you said "fought," making it sound like something from the past.
I agree that there is something about Chris Rene that is very appealing and can touch one's heart. I hope his future performances on X Factor help him establish a new life for himself and his family.

Rats! Where is everyone? I want to squee over the fun that was Josh Kradjit (or something like that- couldn't make out his last name). His mother doesn't seem entirely stable, and he looks a rough around the edges, but what a great bluesy voice (I love gravelly blues singers and Adam. Go figure). I was just about to give up in despair with these interviews- I hope this guy turns out to be as good as it sounds like he could be.

Wow! Big ultra scruffy, hairy, burrito guy sounds awesome. Almost a Susan Boyle moment!

Maybe we should say something on the news thread! I don't know. I'm not sure the show as a whole is good enough to encourage anyone else to watch.

Halleluiah! Tomorrow is the end of the auditions! They haven't really shown that many fabulous auditions, it will be interesting to see how good the talent is in the live shows.

I totally agreed with Paula and Nicole that the switching key girl should not have gone through. Her audition was really bad.
Here's Josh Krajcik the only highlight of the evening IMO;

But, I don't trust Simon and I don't trust this show. I think LA Reid got it right when he said the guy purposefully dressed this way, so he can have a "before" and "After." ETA: The people at MJs did a little research. Here is Josh's You Tube page. he has had 2 albums out already, the most recent just this past February. He has tons of singing experience. www.youtube.com/results?search_query=josh+krajcik&aq=f

And he has much less if a "homeless guy with a crazy mother" vibe going on. Based on the quality of his audition, I'm not surprised to find out he has a lot of experience. Breaking into this business is clearly not easy. I'll be interested to see what happens with him.
