I think it's a nice coincidence that they are also featuring the cast of "Nashville" here and there too tonite since they have such a good storyline going about a country singer coming out - hey! That guy's wearing a shirt that looks like one of Adam's! I like some country music -- not all of it. I am a fan of the more traditional singers, bluegrass, roots and Americana. I am not a fan of most of the country-pop contemporary Nashville music. Like what Luke Bryan is doing now.

Hmmmm. I guess country music doesn't strike me as all sounding alike any more than other genres--much of pop included. Whether you like it or not is a different matter. A lot of pop makes me nuts, and I wouldn't choose to listen to country much either.

[tiptoes in with the lolly bucket and a folding side table] [sets up table; carefully adjusts bucket to "AUTODISPENSE"] Hey guys! Sorry been AWOL for so long. RL has been a bit....brutal with family health issues and then job fallout trying to make up for lost time. But things are getting better. Finally. Don't know when I'll be back regularly, but am excited for tonight's concert! Help yerselves to lollies! [grabs Karmic Cream lolly and waves as runs off thread] HOPPERS!!!! I planted a fake tooth under my pillow and asked for the tooth fairie to bring you back!!! And here you are! If I put a real tooth under my pillow, might it be you visit more often, like lots???? Bit much??? I've been yearning for some lollie time, gurl. Please don't tell me you've rushed off already.. I've MISSED YOU! For you.. [laughs helplessly] Love the fairy!! Send her from your house to mine, will ya? One of the kidlet's fangs is loose (which means I gotta figure out where I stashed the extra gold dollar coin I picked up last time). [grins wickedly] Did the fairy bring you anything for the fake tooth aside from my sorry derriere ??

It seems we may have all found something besides Adam that we agree on. No one is enjoying the country music! Oh, I suppose there may be one or two exceptions, but no one has raved about the music yet. And, with all the PR they have done about Adam and Leona, I am expecting them to be at the end. Sigh. There are some superb country singers - one of my very favorite artists is Alison Krauss (who I would love to hear Adam duet with), she has a crystal clear unforced voice that is just pure joy to listen to. Trisha Yearwood is another gorgeous voice - albeit more traditional country than Alison who is more Bluegrass inspired and also won a grammy for her collaboration with Robert Plant...

Don't mind me. I'm just kinda freaking out to see the program that Adam is appearing on. I wonder if HE is freaking out, too. I know that with Adam's background and talent, he can adapt to any number of different settings and musical styles. I also know that Adam admires great talent regardless of the genre. So, he should be able to fit right in with the country music crowd.
But I can't get Simon Cowell's throwing TVs out windows comment, and Adam saying he had no plans to go to Nashville. Never say never!

Is there a stream link for the show that works internationally?

I am a huge bluegrass fan and would love to hear Adam and Alison duet. There is so much more to country music than what is featured on these CMT Award shows -- but this mainstream/Nashville country music is the most popular music in the US right now.

I like a lot of Faith Hill's songs. Maybe coz it's a bit poppy
