Thanks, cassie. I got quite a thrill thinking about your opera singer friend and her assessment of Adam's technique, thanks for sharing. SHP (ride)

After watching this 30 times or so, I'm laughing at the cheeky look at :15-:16. Could be just me, of course.
Not just you, I thought that look encapsulated it all, ...I'm singing at a country music award show, I'm gay, this song has about a thousand different levels because a gay guy is singing it, I'm in on the joke, I think you are too, but damn if I'm not gonna blow the roof off this place and surprise you. Because aside from anything else, I can SANG.
Or maybe I'm over-interpreting. But there was definitely (to me) a twinkle and a wee bit of challenge in his eyes. And a lot of confidence. He knows what he can do.
Yeah.. both of them take the song to a different level with their vocal range and improvisations. Pretty sure none of the male singers in the room has the vocal like Adam.
Some funny thing I found. When Martina McBride introduced them, she said the song attracted two singers from across the Globe... LOL.. She doesn't think Adam's from the US or maybe she think LA is across the globe of Nashville.
I think she meant that LA is across the globe from the UK.
Maybe she meant Global Superstar!
Adam Lambert...the modern edgy artist with an old rock soul.
I love that lady... anyway... I love his body movement when he did the wails during and after. The country world got a taste of how a Superstar and Queen frontman singing a country song.
