Shoshanna's comment on Adam's photo made me almost spit out my tea! I understand why not everyone would get her humor, but it was a very British comment to make (ironic humor) and very funny. I love dorky Adam, and I proudly believe myself to be a fellow dork as well! I was a music and theater kid, and sometimes what we think is funny is just perplexing to others who didn't spend their formative years with others like us. LOL. Funny story (which says how old I am as well) -- when I was in high school and the first Star Wars movie had just come out, I remember going into the choir room one day for rehearsal and there were a few of the guys fighting with imaginary light sabers-- complete with sound effects. These are my people. I can imagine Adam doing something similar in his choir room! OFF TOPIC INVITATION FOR SEATTLE FOLKS****BTW, I have already bought my ticket for the first day of the new Star Wars movie...at 2:30am! Still a dork! And any Seattle atopers that want to join me, tickets are still available (at the Regal Thornton Place Cinemas at Northgate -- in IMAX 3D!). If anyone wants to join me, we could go get breakfast after and squee about the film or diss anything that wasn't up to par). I would certainly understand if people might not want to go to a movie in the middle of the night, but it is Friday night/Saturday morning (Dec. 19th). Send me a PM if interested! I really don't think there was much "strategic" purpose behind that picture but rather some "let's have fun" spirit. Having said that - this picture is a great way to "connect" to the young audience...seriously... it is so funny it gives me a reason to show it to my kids for instance...and it DOES make me want to do the same... Star Wars - I'd join you! damn those distances... ETA: I did it! It turns out it is not that easy to fit and hold those carrots in the "right" position - go ahead and try! I had to slice baby carrots into 4 stripes each...ya...got my own "technique" going....

And I got a full high quality audio set for both Cleveland and Las Vegas. May take a couple of days for me to process them since I am traveling home today and then will be very busy at work for the rest of the week.

Jordan has a very good voice, no doubt about that BUT what that version misses for me though is the fun, the camp, the spirit of cheekiness that makes the song so special. Case in point: youtu.be/Gtj3oFMRdrk

No doubt, I would choose Adam's version if I had to choose. But that's the great thing, I don't have to.
I really enjoy what Jordan did with the ending:

Jordan Smith is very good.. I don't mind his singing a Freddie Mercury song and sounding a bit like Adam.. I think It's kind of wonderful.. An aside.. Adam is so busy ,what a breakneck schedule..I wonder what his concert tour is going to look like in terms of costumes,if any, staging,dancing,lighting,etc..I love his band and his singers/dancers... IA. First note sounded more like Freddie to me. Nice when someone steps up to the plate. And Adam related just loving the nite after nite of concerts. Am very glad OHIO AND PA are at "regular" real time hours for me. I heard Somebody to Love on my radio station while driving the other way and my reaction was - wow that sounds kind of strained and lifeless compared to the way Adam sings it. I know I know Freddie is god yada yada but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. #thereIsaidit #adamhasruinedme #stilllovethemoo

Wish I still lived in your area! Don't have anyone to go to the movie with, but I am going! Funny all the things many of us have in common. I went with my brother to the first day of the first Star War's movie, waiting in a line around the theater to get in. Went to the first day of each new movie for the longest time. If I were in Seattle, I would go with you in a heart beat! Have fun and may the force keep you wide-awake even in the middle of the night. :D

For me Freddie's live performances and Adam's both have so much more life to them, like a totally different song.
