THREE BIEBS' songs in the top 20! not even Adele, but f*cking Biebs... I think I need to stop looking at the charts and just come here to see ALN's position and leave it at that. Ignorance works much better for me...  |

Luckily he's not in our Airplay chart very high: www.entertainmentbusiness.nl/nationale-airplay-top-50Number 1 there is still Adele. Screwed up by the christmas songs this is though. |

I think this is the first week Ghost Town is not on the worldwide Shazam Top 100 since it came out. Last week it was still on it in the 90s, but now I can't find it anymore. What a run!

Rihannsu, I registered at Pulse (have only been a guest all these years) for the sole purpose of asking if the spin count for #50 has ever been this high before. But apparently their admins don't approve very fast because I ahve been waiting for over a week for my confirmation e-mail. Anyway, would you mind asking that question in the CHR Top 50 thread? TY!  Just seeing this now. I asked and also asked if there is anyone you can contact to get your registration finalized. |

ALN is on the Spin increase chart today. As we noted yesterday, the spins to reach 50 right now, is a bit ridiculous! A year ago, the numer 50 song had 460 spins! I don't think ALN is a place holder until TOH. There are 85 stations spinning. Nice increase. 4 songs above that should be gone in the next week. Then 5 more by or on Jan 3rd. 2 new songs that could come up, Selena and Pitbull. I still think January is looking very good! Oh, and there is HAC. Moving nicely. But we know how slow that format is. I've been keeping track of the daily spin numbers so with info from the spincrease chart I can calculate that Sat & Sun spins combined are no more than 259. The fact that today's spins can't be any more than 128 (#50 is 129) means Saturday's spins would be 131. Could be less because for at least 2 weeks in a row there were at least 5 unmonitored spins included in the spincrease total. That would also put the 7-day rolling figure at about 936. These are still estimates because my Sun & Mon numbers had to be estimated the last few weeks because of ALN not being on the building chart the first day or sometimes two of the week. If those numbers are correct that would put Saturday's and Sunday's updates at +18 each. Better than the +1's the previous week. |
