Never seen Rocky Horror. Does "Eddie" just ride in on the motorcycle, sing his song, then get killed by Franknfurter? So a cameo? Not complaining. I think Adam, trying to change his image, probably turned down the initial offer of the Tim Curry role, just as he did Hedwig. Smart move, IMO. But he will kill that Rock N Roll number. Cassie....I was thinking the same thing!!

UPDATED: Now with more Adam Lambert! posted on Jan. 4, 2016, at 4:41 p.m. Louis Peitzman BuzzFeed News Reporter Fox has announced new casting for its upcoming televised production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which will air this fall. The cult musical began as a live show in 1973 and was adapted as a film in 1975. Although the movie wasn’t much of a success when it was originally released, it found a new audience in midnight showings across the country and continues to enjoy an active fandom more than 40 years later. Here’s a look at the next generation of actors stepping into those formidable fishnets… Adam Lambert as Eddie Adam Lambert, who has enjoyed a thriving pop career since his 2009 stint on American Idol, will be playing Eddie, Frank’s ex-delivery boy. Eddie doesn’t appear in much of Rocky Horror, but he rocks a memorable song before things take a turn. (Spoiler alert.)

Brian May playing Eddie....TCD Rocky Horror Picture Show NSO Ensemble featuring BRIAN MAY (with Howard Samuels, Aidan Bell, et al.) www.brianmay.com/brian/magsandpress/rockyhorror.htmlEXCERPT:
This album's highlight is Brian May's performance, which is only one song: "Hot Patootie (Bless My Soul)". Brian May was the guitarist for Queen, and his involvement in this project came about because he has been romantically involved with Anita Dobson for several years now. "Hot Patootie" was NOT recorded with all the other music on this album. It was recorded separately with Brian's own back-up band, and Brian liked the final mix of the song so much that he considered releasing it as a single or including it on a future album. This is why the first two releases of this recording do not feature this track. The plans for a single release fell through, and the song finally appeared on the third release of this album. Rocky Horror fans first got to hear this track at the RHPS 20th Anniversary Convention in Los Angeles in October 1995.

Cameo but pretty cool that he is to play a part Meatloaf played given that Meatloaf was the one who had that awesome quote about Adam that I actually put in Magical Voice "I think there are three singers that I have heard that I think have that thing, that jet pack quality to their voice that just lets it take off... Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Adam Lambert. Top three! I am not kidding. That kid is something else. He's real" How prophetic Meatloaf!! Seems like there is a constant news cycle around our Adam! Two big things today with the award for QAL and now this announcement. Guess we know what the new project is about. Maybe there's more new projects!
