Hi, I have some questions regarding the TOH-concert in Amsterdam! We finally want to plan our journey to Amsterdam and book a hotel but we don’t know if it would be better to book a hotel in the city-center or near the Heineken Music Hall?! We have never been to Amsterdam before and would like to do some sightseeing and shopping! So on the one hand a hotel in the city-center would of course be better but there are only a few that would qualify for us! (Among other reasons because I need a hotel with an elevator!) On the other hand we like the hotels near the HMH better, but it seems that the venue is quite far away from the city-center (about 10 km?!) and besides there is not much to see there?! Is there a good train connection between the Bijlmer-station and the Centraal-station? If we plan an "Atop-meeting", will it be directly before or after the concert or a day before or after the show? And where would it take place, in the city-center or somewhere near the venue? To everyone else who is traveling to Amsterdam: Did you already book a hotel and if so, did you choose a hotel in the city-center or one of the hotels near the Heineken Music Hall? Sooo many questions , sorry, that I’m such a "pain in the neck" but I would be really happy to get some replies! Thanks in advance! Betty have you checked the Amsterdam meet up thread in the Members Only link? You might want to post your questions there. too. I am sure someone going will see your post and respond to you. Good luck!

Good luck! There are no meet up thread in the Members Only section for the European concerts. Only the US got added there. betty There are Metro's (every couple of minutes) and Trains (every half hour) running from Bijlmer to Central station. When you take the Metro you can also step out earlier as the Central station is still quite a walk from some of the interesting spots. There are also Trams running in Amsterdam to take your journey further. This site can help you planning: 9292.nl/enI'm not from Amsterdam so I can't help you with Hotels and such, but maybe nic42 can help there.

Was able to get a VIP regular ticket in row H which is not bad. Being short, anytime I am more than 3 or 4 rows back I end up bouncing back and forth between people to try and see the stage. Also was able to get a 2nd row Balcony seat 213 on that side that Adam usually plays to (his left, I believe). I actually think that view will be better than the orchestra VIP. Can see the whole stage and production. It is on the aisle and one person in front. Never know what might show up later in the day/week as tickets go back into pool.
Really wanted a M&G VIP but already blew the $ on one for Vegas because TM had frozen me out and was trying to get my account unlocked for the first LA show. Also, the Vegas VIP M&G is just a GA ticket with early entry (yes get to finally touch Adam but would have been nice if they included table seats, too - entitled - yes). Will probably go find a chair to stand on or a pole to climb so I can see the stage when in Vegas.
