A little late to the party, as usual. :  I've watched SYTYCD almost every season. My fav reality show. Works like this: (if PTB don't change it} The 20 top couples compete. The 3 couples with lowest scores dance for their lives individually.. The judges decide who goes home. That will leave the remaining dancers with new partners. This goes on 'til 10 are left, at which point the judges have no say. I am kinda "hazy" about this :-/, but last year, for the first time, the all-stars were paired with all the dancers starting at 20?. The PTB felt this would help the contestants, since a weak partner can put a strong partner in the bottom. The show got feedback from viewers that they preferred the original concept. The all stars will be paired with contestants again this year, but not sure how that will work. And, yes, Sasha is amazing! Love her quirky personality, and only have concerns about her doing ballroom. Although with practice, and the right choreographer, she can prob dance to anything. If she ever ends up in bottom 3, her dancing will save her. Her partner, not so much. Agree with judges that he is technically very good, but needs more personality. The one thing that does concern me is that very few girls have won. I believe the voters are mostly female, like AI, and prefer the cute, or sexy men.  |

In 7 seasons, 3 girls have won and 4 guys. But that doesn't tell the entire story because it has been hard for girls to even get into the top 4.

IIRC a guy won last year, and the year before? ??? Last season a girl won and she was really good. I was excited. I think her name was Lauren. She was blonde. |

When the hip hop with Ashley wasn't in the bottom three, I was a little worried. Now that Sasha is safe, I can enjoy the rest of the show.
