And remember, vanilla is what America votes for! That's what Adam's friend Danielle says in a segment of BTM while they flash pictures of vanilla contestants on the screen. Adam's not that, she says matter of factly. I will take an opposing view on vanilla. This was not a two way race. It was vanilla, chocolate, and a couple different flavors of butterscotch. Overall, the more exotic flavors won over vanilla. J/S. |

Melanie is a worthy winner. I just happen to think Sasha is better in other areas, besides technique in one genre. Melanie is also from the south. I think it is pretty hard for a CA kid to beat someone from the south.

something like 11 1/2 million votes is what Cat announced. The two girls definitely cleaned up. Sadz Sasha didn't win, but we're kinda used to that aren't we. She'll be fine, just like Adam was. Really enjoyed the show tonight, always love seeing the great routines of the season.

What a pleasure it has been to watch Sasha dance with such artistry week after week this summer! How in the world did she so many great dances this week? She is a real athlete and a trooper for sure.
At this point we are graduate students, if not PhD's, in reality show manipulation, so the results were predictable. It takes nothing away from Sasha's accomplishments this summer. I hope she is very proud of all she has achieved. I also hope we get to see her dance in Adam's next tour!!

I just wish that the judges didn't try to influence the audience. Nigel said that Melanie was the best dancer that SYTYCD ever had.. and so forth.
I agree Sasha has a super personality to go along with her great skills as a dancer.When Nigel said he can see Melanie and Sasha in any dance company,I cringed. Most dance companies have little money and don't pay their company dancers very well. The life of a dancer is short and usually fraught with injuries.. It's such a hard life,and very few are honored as they should be. Dancers are probably the best athletes ever ,but look at the pay difference between them.Choreographers however make out OK. I wish Sasha the very best, IMHO.. she's amazing

Check out Sasha's interview with Lyndsey Parker. She mentions Adam! She also says that choreography is what she wants to do. They should critque the routines and give feedback. But all the "you are my favorite dancer" is crap! But Nigel is the master manipulator. It just kind of makes the finale anti climatic, doesn't it? Both Idol and SYTYCD = No surprises! |
