From one of those interviews it seems that they are not allowed to talk about injuries. The show only talks about them when they have no choice like the first week when whats his name couldn't dance. They've talked about injuries before. At least in previous seasons, they have. When I say "they" I mean Nigel, Cat, or the judges. |

I was referring to the contestants not being allowed to mention them. Of course the show will mention them when it is to their advantage but in one of those backstage interviews Sasha and Marko gave the impression that there are things they are instructed not to discuss. That was my impression. |

OK, reality worlds are colliding! I don't know how many of you have watched SYTYCD before Sasha's season but there was an amazing dancer named Alex Wong. He had a season ending injury in S7. No doubt, he would have won. He had it all... good looks, amazing skills, winning personality! Was supposed to come back S8. They saved a spot for him. Then he got the exact same injury on the other leg right before the season started. Fate?? Maybe. Here is a tweet from Nigel from yesterday: @dizzyfeet Nigel Lythgoe Wow, Alex Wong just auditioned for #AmericanIdol. The boy has a good voice. Now, if he makes it to Hollywood, I have no doubt he would have to crash and burn for the producers to not put him through. If he makes it through... he will have a very nice fanbase starting off. I am excited, tempered by a little bit of sadness wondering if this second injury has ended his dancing career hopes. Oh and how could Nigel not know Alex sings with this video from S7? Nigel, really! :  |
