Yeah, I think actually Sasha probably toned herself down some to not be so out of step with Alex but it didn't disguise what he lacked. Part of me wants to see them in the bottom so Alexander will go home. Sasha needs a stronger partner. It could be risky for Sasha. The choreography and music of the routine were not very strong.I agree. |

The music was so soft and did not have any driving beat. It didn't lend itself to hip hop. The choreography was weak, but then who knows whether the choreo was toned downed to fit the skills of Alex. I felt the same about Sasha routines as I did about Melanie and Marko's routine. I didn't like the choreo. M&M did as much as they could with it, but it was nothing like some of their other routines. Sasha could use a better partner, but so far they have been eliminating the dancers as couples rather than as individuals. |

well, this show rewards loudness and drama. Sasha and Alexander have benefited from that past weeks (although they were also excellent independent of that). This was a quiet routine. I thought it was pretty, but I guess I could understand some of the judges complaints. I'm with Carmen though--I can't take my eyes off of Sasha--there is something gripping and watchable about her. And how cute was she with that sneezable 2? I think (hope) she'll be fine.

I feel bad for Jess. I think he's nicer and less annoying than they are editing him to be.

That last routine - Jess and ? (lord, I dunno) was the best for me so far. I really like Jess.....he's a wonderful actor and dancer.
Worried about Sasha - sure wish she had a stronger partner. Melanie and ? (omg I'm terrible with names) had a weak routine too...yikes, what's wrong with the choreographers this year? On years past we would have had numerous AMAZING routines by now.
We'll have to vote our asses off tonight!

It's been a night of week routines. At least Travis is giving someone else a less than glowing review. And Carmen.
I can't believe Mary is saying this is the only dance on tonight's hot tamale train.
Nigel was a little wishy-washy.
I think Sasha and Alex were better than this one, but I'm still nervous that a a lot of people are getting over-praised.
ETA: I think I need to clarify- I'm talking about Ashley and Chris's dance.

I'm spamming.
I hate Ryan and Ricky's dance. I hate the music. I hate the choreography. I don't think they are dancing it well.

ETA: But of course the judges loved it. Apparently this proves why I am unqualified to have an opinion.

sorry, had to drop off line for a minute there.
Actually, I kind of liked the music and choreo on Ryan and Ricky's dance, but I didn't like Ryan so much. I'm a fan of Ricky, I like his angles and long lines. Ryan seems clunky to me. And you know I'm the expert. (Oh dear, what happens when two experts disagree?)
ETA: you know I love your unqualified opinions, girl

I like these two (Caitlin and Mitchell) they're sweet, but there was something very awkward about that dance to me. The timing seemed off to me somehow, it was too rushed or something.
ETA: hahaha, me and Mary, totally in agreement apparently
