Caitlen and Mitchell were also so-so. It is clearly not Caitlen's style, so I think she did OK for a non-hip hop person, but it dragged Mitchell down.
Ooh- and the judges kind of don't like the same things I don't like. Maybe I'm more informed than I thought!

I agree with you-- first two dances very close in choreographic style, the next two pairs totally underwhelming.
I hate the diaper commercial, too. Hmm, so far I have no original thoughts-- except got to get Sasha in top 10

I agree with the judges on both Ryan/Rickey and Caitlyn/Mitchell. They didn't pop. As I watched Ryan/Ricky, I kept thinking that Jess would have killed that routine.
Caitlyn/Mitchell were hip/hop lite. Sort of like Sasha/Alexander last week.

I liked melanie there, marko looked very uncomfortable and a little slow. plus, it bugged me that his suit was so baggy. its a freakin tango, people.
ETA: the final lift was damn cool though.

I love the tango, and I love the choreographer, but I'm not crazy about Melanie and Marko's dance, although that last move was cool.
I must be hard to impress tonight.

First time they looked uncomfortable-- the m and m I mean. It will be interesting to see them with different partners.

I think I need to take back my last comment. Maybe I am impressed- Jess did a pretty good job of hip hop for a broadway dancer. Music a bit slow, but I thought they did pretty good.

That was hip-hop light in the cutest sense of the phrase. and i mean that in both the slightly patronizing and in the positive sense.
