Just watched The Voice ---- much better than Idol the past two seasons. But, when it was done, I had to go back and watch me some Adam on Idol clips.
In the program I did with Angelina last week, she commented that one of the marks of a great vocal communicator is their ability to make us feel comfortable, happy and safe. I know we have talked about this before, but, it hit me again as I watched Adam after The Voice. I started with Satisfaction, his first performance of a total song on stage. It only took a few seconds, and I could feel my whole body relaxing. My body just knows it is going to hear a great performance.
I imagine it is partly because I have seen the performance before, so I know it is "safe" to relax, but I also remember having the same feeling the first time I saw him sing it live. There was such mastery in the voice, the control, the body, the stage presence that it telegraphed to my mind and body almost immediately that here is a performer I can "trust" to do it right.
With the singers on The Voice I didn't get that feeling. Well, to be honest, I don't get that feeling with a lot of performers. It's like .... well, like eating fish. You know how you take a bite a bit hesitantly, not knowing if it is going to be fresh or fishy tasting? It tastes good, so you keep eating. Then, a couple of bites later, you feel a bone in your mouth. EEEEEEWWWWW. That's it. I'm done. I can't enjoy the rest of the fish because I am worried I am gonna bite down or choke on another bone. It is not "safe" to eat the fish.
Adam's performances almost always make me feel instantly comfortable and safe. It is one of the extraordinary attributes that make me love him.

K - guys, just gonna say this ~ Adam is an excellent lover - I know this cuz of his "Master-Baiting" technique - that is, to starve us for a period of time (to build the tension) - then slowly give us some release (*crumbs*, as NoAngel put it) - the *crumbs* will keep coming (pun intended) to keep us all in an heightened state of interest until the ENTIRE album is finished! (A Happy Ending! ;D :

I got my Kindle for Christmas and LOVE it! I read a lot and have a cover with a built in book stand so I can read at my lunch break. Fabulous. And I even have an Adam connection with my Kindle -- I have checked my Twitter on my Kindle to see if there are any Adam tweets...

cookie, cassie, wal, lynneville, maria222pf,gelly, Kanadie, ileanne, Wow, I didn't realize so many people haven't received their picture. Yes, I was proactive. I did answer the first email from Lane...waited and waited, nothing... so I sent another email. With it I copied my receipt and Lane's email asking for our addresses. Well, I waited and waited. I never got an answer to my emails. Then I decided to print out everything and use regular mail. I wrote a nice note just saying that I assume they did not get my information so "here it is". I sent it to 19 Entertainment. I don't know if that is what did it, but I am so happy and I want all of you to get your picture. OO..pic info??? Thanks, Lifeisnow! I haven't gotten mine yet either and was in the first batch of e-mails. I lost the address to 19..if anyone has it, would you pls PM me? Thanks!!
