I was just modifying my post: saulikoskinen1 saulikoskinen sun rises and I can not sleep.. ETA: seems he deleted this tweet. It's 2.30 a.m. here and there is as much light as during day time... You all are so entertaining:-) CASSIE: you talk about what note/s or chord/s and I was wondering - do you have a tool/device to determine the note/chord. What do you do, or use, to figure out what note or chord Adam is singing? Always wondered but keep forgetting to ask... Good question. I usually can just hear a note and tell what it is, or approximate it within a half step. (i.e. That high note in WLL sounds like a G5, or perhaps an F#5. -- Adam is harder for me to pinpoint than many other singers or instruments because that clear, ringing tone deceives my ear into thinking it is higher than it is.) I also have a piano, and double check my ear with the actual notes. Once I get my ear "calibrated" to the song, I can tell you the rest of the notes and chords relative to that first one.(i.e. If that high note is an F#5, then the low note in the verse before is an E3.) Thanks Cassie: I wondered if a piano was involved in some way. I use to play piano as a youngster. My parents made me do classical with a teacher that seemed ancient - well at least at an 8 through teens person. Finally in the later years I got a more hip teacher but didn't really appreciate being forced to take piano at the time. Now I am glad I did:-) And yes: Where is Adam.
