After reading earlier about the village of people it takes to write a song these days, AND finding out that Jackson Browne tickets at my favorite venue go on sale this Friday......... And remembering my other favorite songwriters like James Taylor, Carole King, Jimmy Webb and the bands that wrote songs together. Are there any current songwriters that write alone? With just their band members? I can't help but think that is what creates songs and sounds unique to an artist or a band.
To bring this to Adam, you guys have been posting songwriters that Adam is working with or songwriters you'd like him to work with. I don't remember ever having heard of any of them - just reading their names here.
Anyone want to post these songwriters, what they've written, and for who?
Something to talk about.....

General question - if you were on the same plane as Adam, in spite of your urge to tell everyone, would you also want to protect his privacy and just keep it to yourself - at least until he had landed and had gone on his way? As I've seen how people who spotted him got bombarded with stupid questions on Twitter I'd say yes, I'd keep it for myself. Maybe, but only maybe, I'd share it afterwards in a similar way that girl in London did. Hmm, I would keep it to myself at the time and then only share it here after the fact - when he is long gone - safe. If it then gets picked up on twitter that would be out of my control as I don't twitter much. I wouldn't ask him if I could share cuz I wouldn't want to hear a no - but don't really think that is what he would say... If he said anything that seemed confidential I would not post that but since we are not friends, what is the chance of that, LOL! Slow day here, perhaps I will actually get some RL stuff done

Before I go... upthread the bastard single by J. Scott was mentioned and I have never heard it so searched twitter and listened. Just because I need to hear all Adam music at least once.
My comment, always love Adam singing but this is a song that is heavily synth and would this qualify as a four cord song with few lyrics. Really didn't pick it apart but would not be high on my list of favorites. To me it is over produced and not very complex - but more of the type of thing I hear on radio. Started to get bored by the end, not with Adam, just the song mix.
Our music gurus my better know how to put what I am trying to say into words :-/

And if I was to speak to him I would ask him if it was ok to tell to the fans that I saw him and if he said no I might explode but I wouldnt tell a thing. Sorry, but that's what I would do. This is why I love ÅTOP. I think most of us would handle it the same way. We are all greedy for news and pictures, but still put Adam's needs above our own. Just as Ådam does, I choose to believe that in the end, it's good karma, even if I don't believe in karma as such, I do believe what goes around comes around, do unto others, whatever other belief encourages us to treat others as we would like to be treated.

How does Adam do this.. disappear in plain sight?? Why so invisible, Adam? (Doesn't he just look here like he knows a trick we don't?)

Technically that's true: Aminor, G, F, and D minor are used at some point in the piece. However, about 80-90% of the song just sits on the A minor chord. It can hardly be called an Adam Lambert song, as his voice is so buried by the electronics and synths, and so modified and manipulated that it is almost unrecognizable. It's like using a piano virtuoso to play chopsticks. I don't go to dance clubs, so I don't know. Maybe this is the type of music that everyone raves about there. It could certainly get you moving. Gratefully, I think Adam has moved way past this in terms of making his own music. And, it seems he now realizes that what stands him apart from all other pop artists out there today is first and foremost, the voice. I don't see him relegating that to the background in the future. Plus, this is not the kind of thing that can really be performed live, since the voice is so manipulated. At least, that is my hope.

How does Adam do this.. disappear in plain sight?? Why so invisible, Adam? (Doesn't he just look here like he knows a trick we don't?) Been thinking about this. It would be very difficult to "disappear" in LA, with all the paps on the lookout at his favorite places. But, put him in another city when he is not expected, and I think it would be fairly easy. Adam has a very distinct look ----- when he wants it. But, remove the make-up, camouflage the distinctive hair style, dress him in ratty jeans, running shoes, and a colored T=shirt instead of his signature black look, and put him in an everyday setting ..... yeah, his uber fans would still recognize him, but I don't think anyone else would make the connection. Glad he can still have some time incognito, as tough as it is for us.
