Ok - I think I wrote the survey query badly. The question is whether you think it would be better for Adam to emulate Gaga's or Adele's sales style based on RCAEd's decription of how they've historically sold. Not whether you like Gaga or Adele themselves. [goes back to fix survey question] I vote for the Adele model. I want to be 100 years old and still going to see him perform. I think he might also pick the slow and steady model- he's been clear that he can't imagine doing anything but perform and this model seems more likely to give him longevity. On the other hand, if I were the label I might prefer the Gaga model. Kind of the old bird in the hand worth two in the bush thing- it's hard to pass up that much money all at once. I think the slow and steady model has already picked him. His album did not explode the way Gaga's first did. Hopefully, #2 will be an increase in sales (or however albums are going to be charted in these days of not buying music.) Stardust, nice picture. :D

GAGA or Adele? Neither, or somewhere in between. GAGA is a shapeshifter on the outside but Adam is a shape shifter on the inside. I don't think anyone coming off Idol could pull off becoming a "character" like GAGA because we already get to know them on the show and it would ring false. Adam being called the male LG was much about his love of dress up which has alway been a part of him. And somehow I still can't see him doing an album full of Gaga/Katy Perry songs. He wants to be Madonna or Michael Jackson but when he performs Jim Morrison and Robert Plant keep coming out instead. With pop/dance songs he's got to almost come up with something unique to him.I think you put that just right. I'm not sure he is planning ways to change the music world, but he just will. That's how changes in music (art, etc.) happen. People fuse what they know and love, twist it, and then something new results.

Sanity?? I vaguely remember hearing that word somewhere before...hmm..I'll get back to you on that..maybe not, since I seem to have misplaced my mind. Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.... As slow as it has been today, I want to thank whoever posted the readable reprint of the Rolling Stone article and Adam's Q&A (plaid shirt). Wasn't that Q&A the prize for the fan group who raised the most for the Donors Choose campaign? Anyway, he's the sweetest. Anyone who watches a few of those interviews can't help but totally love him! And, of course, all the pics - Moscow and otherwise! Thanks to all - except maybe the sausage peeps LOL. I did the Rolling Stone. I didn't have anything to do with the tasteless sausage crap. VINYL? who still uses the old turn-tables??? I'll buy anyway cause it's Adam. Do stores still sell these record players? [grin] My FIL still uses his old one with the vacuum tubes instead of transistors! ;D But in all seriousness, they sell modern turntables at, I believe, Target that also have tape decks and USB ports embedded in the casing so you can record your old vinyl and tape albums to digital for ~$100-120. I recall they also have sockets for connecting to a decently high-end speaker system. Is it as good as the dedicated turntables? I don't know. I think they only sell really high-end turntables these days because most of the buyers are DJs or music snobs. [evil grin] I've been on the lookout for an old FisherPrice record player for my daughter. For what I intended it for, it was good enough. However, I would NOT play an Adam record on a FisherPrice!!! If you want I can check my storeroom cause I think I still have my daughters Fisher Price somewhere.

4Msrmyn: You have accumulated so much fabulous stuff. I know we all want new music, but we really can't say there is nothing to watch/listen to in the meantime, and so much of it is collected right here!
Many thanks to you and all others who have gathered these treasures... Do you have a favorite interview in your collection?

OK! I'm finally back. My vote is for Adele's way, as Cookie so nicely summed it up, SLOW AND STEADY MODEL! I'm thinking longevity here. Stardust I love that gorgeous pic of Adam you posted. I've never seen it before...thanks! My son went to the movies tonight and came home and told me he heard "Starlight" playing for some movie preview (he couldn't remember the name of the movie) and that it was Adam singing it. I told him it was probably "Muse" singing it because they wrote and recorded it but my son keeps insisting it was Adam's voice. So I don't have a clue if it was Adam but I guess I'll have to go to the movies to sit there and watch the previews so I can see if I hear Adam's voice singing Starlight? : Well I'm a little bsc here....but... it is excruciatingly S-L-O-W right now!

I was just taking a trip down memory lane, and thought I'd post this here. Do you remember Skylar's wonderful video?

Many thanks to you and all others who have gathered these treasures... Do you have a favorite interview in your collection? I've been concentrating on the interviews that I can mine for pre Idol info and I haven't listened to the others in a while. Just for fun, I'm partial to the interviews Adam did on his Australian promo tour in March of 2010. This page at the the old Adamtopia includes - adamtopia.proforums.org/viewtopic.php?p=67426#6742612/31/09 Hollywood, LA, CA Paramont Studios (Gridlock) 2/12/10 New York, NY Rock My Town -Kradison 2/27/10 Indio, CA Fantasy Springs Resort 3/6/10 Sydney, Australia Hordern Pavilion (That's the Mardi Gras, but I included the whole Australian trip.) 4/8/10 Coquitlam, BC, Canada Red Robinson Theatre 4/9/10 Richmond, BC, Canada River Rock Casino There is one AU radio interview that always makes me smile, but the YouTube has disappeared since I last looked. I only have the radio station video link- www.novafm.com.au/video_the-adam-lambert-kiss_100992There are so many great interviews, how about some suggestions ATop???
