Personally I prefer the sea, but anyhow. Plenty of places like this in Finland, the upper pic is from Lapland (up north).

I haven't even started today's thread, been reading yesterday's.... You all are lunatics and I have been laughing my ass off. The best laugh came from KOSKIBERT. No reason, it just struck me as hilarious. Was on a D E L A Y E D train yesterday. When I went DC to Pgh few weeks ago, it was first time I had been on train in *#(%&% years and it was the same DC - PGH trip I did home from college. That part of the trip went fine, but coming back to DC was chaotic disaster. Luckily, I had no connections or someone waiting for me. Delays were everything from needing new engine to a couple fighting in the middle of the tracks at some remote stop and they wouldn't get off until police came and arrested them. Good thing rest of trip is by plane, this was just an aberration. No computer connection on train, so I was watching my DVDs, legal and not-so-legal ones when I noticed a father and son (on way to college visit at my old alma mater) watching them over my shoulder (more or less.) Dad didn't know who it was until son piped up, "Adam Lambert, the guy from American Idol." Dad remembered and was shocked that he didn't know Adam had sold-out tour, working on #2, etc. I think the son knew more than he was willing to 'fess up to in front of dad because he took me up on watching the GNT DVD on his own computer when I offered. Dad said little too much pop for him but, "Damn, that boy really has a voice." So, except for being 6.5 hours late getting into Union Station, trip was a win.... oh, and they gave us a Roy Rogers chicken boxed lunch to apologize. Now, come on, who can argue with Roy Rogers boxed lunch. Amtrak does it big time. Hope you all are in as great form today as you were yesterday! Friend I'm staying with for few days is at work so I have 1 hr and 40 min all to myself. Awesome story, savvy!! But wut?? That's some crazy shit right there. Right??!! Well something else I never knew, we had to slow down after noon because the rails get hot and "delicate" over a certain temp and since it was almost 100 degrees in DC at 6:30pm, I'm assuming the rails were steaming. The poor attendants on the train were catching all kinds of grief about what time we would arrive, so they were giving us all the reasons they couldn't be sure. When I had a signal and texted my all-knowing daughter, she said that was the truth and on certain air quality days they also had to slow down because of emissions having to do with the ozone. She has never been on a real train so have no idea why she knows this but I have learned never (EVER) to doubt her ( useful) trivia knowledge (unlike my useless trivia knowledge.)

Hi guys! My memory isn't always accurate, but wasn't something posted....well, maybe the end of last week that "next Friday" (and I was assuming that would be today) that the next Tutka roadshow or something was going to have a special guest? Anyone remember this? ETA: Did a search and found it! Aurora posted it on June 7, so I guess next Friday, 6/17, is when it will air. Next Friday there will be one more: Tutka roadshow special straight from LA with a surprise guest. Read more: adamtopia.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=daily&thread=357&page=1#58366

youtu.be/rNZ38MAzj1wAdam was handsome and adorable on American Idol, but he has become a beautiful, gorgeous man in the last 2 years. It is amazing to see the images next to one another.

Anyone remember this? Yes, today there was a Tutka, Katri was interviewing Renny Harlin. No Sauli, no Adam

Okay, kids, time to play community photoshop. I got this started, but have to get going. Feel free to add and modify at will (my Photoshop is strictly remedial). Dang, it's a little smaller than I thought it would be. :-/
