Kinda Ot/kinda not I read this interview with Justin Bieber this morning: www.gq.com/story/justin-bieber-gq-interviewAnd it made me think, first about what a crazy mixed up life for such a young person, that he does not sound overly intelligent (sorry, that sounds so judgmental, but it is what I thought. Maybe I should have said that he doesn't sound very educated, which seems to be the case, as he dropped out of school), that I really do like his new songs. But something made me sad, couldn't pinpoint it. Then I realized that there are artists who seem to so totally love what they do (Adam and Bruno for two), that the joy just radiates out to the audience. Plus, of course, the raw and innate talent, honed to perfection. But they make me happy, a lot. And make me feel, a lot. And like I said, I get such a sense of fun and joy in their performances. Like they are having the time of their life, they are ecstatic to be there, that we, the audience, are part of the reason for that joy. I just feel so included when I watch/listen to them. Justin, on the other hand, to me, in my opinion, seems...well, not joyous on stage. Never seen him live. Have always thought he aspired to be tough and rappish, and it was a rather startling contrast to his actual personae and appearance. Almost a caricature, IMO. But I get no sense of joy from his performances that I have seen. But anyway, that was what I came away with, even though I like his current music, even though I feel he is having a rough path to maturity, even though he has success beyond most artists wildest dreams, I don't think he has joy. Or maybe it just isn't cool to some to show that on stage. The interview made me sad. And again, don't know him, not really trying to presume I can analyze someone from such a distance, just the way I felt when I read that interview. Would not want to be him. But I truly hope he finds his way. And as for Adam, I think for me, he brings it, every time. The order of the songs, while they may be important in terms of building a show, don't really matter to me. Because when he is on that stage, he wants to be there, he is doing what he loves, he is not too cool to show that, he captivates me, could listen and watch him perform forever. Joy boy. Walking sunshine. The voice. And damn, that boy is So Fine to look at.

I doubt anyone wants a plastic cup (with previously held liquid in side/maybe still liquid inside as an empty cup may not fly quite that far) thrown at them /or at a costume. I did not notice any liquid but who knows. I can appreciate Adam's remark. I was at an "exclusive" event, in western garb, wearing a caramel colored leather blazer that had a "sheen" finish on it. This event was not out in some pasture, but in a beautifully landscaped backyard/acreage in the middle of the city. A guy was making this traditional syllabub drink (milking a cow's milk into a liquor laden fancy bucket) after some welcoming remarks. He decided it would be funny to direct the cow's teets to the audience and spray people with the cow's milk. I turned and the spray hit the back of my jacket...which was never the same after that!! Not sure the others who got it in the face/hair/clothes were too impressed either. There was no laughing...just an OHHHH... from the crowd.I enjoyed my morning listening away to Adam performing in a new environment with a crowd that seemed to love and appreciate him!

Is it a kind of 'notice me' thing, d'ya think?

There is no joy, no pleasure gained from what he is doing, that is the impression anyway. And certainly no gratitude.

There was some confusion yesterday about this tweet from a very local radio station here in the Netherlands as if TOH was the next single here already. Translation: #TotalyHit or #TotalyNothing: The new @adamlambert you hear now with @bodeuh! bit.ly/1TUzPas #GlowFMThey tweeted again today as they got quite some reaction and retweets on that tweet: Translation: Yesterday #TotalyHits was sent so often to @bodeuh, that you hear him again. The new @adamlambert #GlowFMTo get things clear a fan tweeted to Warner NL to verify and they confirmed that TOH is NOT a single yet here. Emphasis on the not yet. Translation first tweet: @warnermusicnl Is The Original High from Adam Lambert officialy release in NL as a single?Translation second tweet: @marl1_19 Hi! The Original High is not yet in promotie but it is already on @spotify. Is that what you mean? Happy weekend! It's the first time I've seen Warner NL respond to any tweets by the way. Glad they could verify.
