Regarding yesterday's discussion on why GT did so well but ALN isn't doing well:
GT is a UNIQUE song with an INCREDIBLY CATCHY HOOK -- elements of a dance pop song that becomes popular. ALN lacks these elements. It's not as memorable as GT, it's not as interesting as GT, hence it does not click well with pop/dance music listeners. Put it this way, up till today I have listened to GT hundreds and maybe thousands of times, but I'm still not sick of it. As for ALN, I got sick of it by, maybe, the 60th time I listened to it? I agree. Initially ALN was one of my favorite tracks and I was pleased that it was chosen. Now, I have to admit that I've gotten tired of hearing it. I still like listening to GT.
