I'm with you, the set order left a bit to be desired imo, you could hear the difference in the crowd from the costume change on to the end. Exactly, the screams and applause wasn't there for rumors either, i really loved The Light, wish he'd sing the entire song. loved Lay Me Down too. Well, having attended 6 TOH concerts so far, the final section (other than the grand opening sequence) is by far my favorite. (The first section seems one or two songs too many in the "dark" section IMO) I would love more of The Light. Let's Dance is great and Lay Me Down is awesome! It's become a concert highlight for me! Then Shady and Fever. So much joy and so much Dancing. I LOVE smiling/sexy/dancing Adam. If it were up to me I'd throw Shame in there as well (maybe replace Fever). We got IIHY, then TRESP/ABTD as encore and also flipped. IIHY needs to not be the encore, as I think most all agree. I've seen some complaints on Twitter about the long IIHY and band intros, and altho I wasn't a fan of Reggae IIHY initially, it's grown on me and I'm used to it now. The call and response varies in lenth depending on how the audience receives it and wants to participate. And I love the long drawn out band intros. Any way Adam can extend the time he's on stage doing whatever, works fine for me live.

Kinda Ot/kinda not I read this interview with Justin Bieber this morning: www.gq.com/story/justin-bieber-gq-interviewAnd it made me think, first about what a crazy mixed up life for such a young person, that he does not sound overly intelligent (sorry, that sounds so judgmental, but it is what I thought. Maybe I should have said that he doesn't sound very educated, which seems to be the case, as he dropped out of school), that I really do like his new songs. But something made me sad, couldn't pinpoint it. Then I realized that there are artists who seem to so totally love what they do (Adam and Bruno for two), that the joy just radiates out to the audience. Plus, of course, the raw and innate talent, honed to perfection. But they make me happy, a lot. And make me feel, a lot. And like I said, I get such a sense of fun and joy in their performances. Like they are having the time of their life, they are ecstatic to be there, that we, the audience, are part of the reason for that joy. I just feel so included when I watch/listen to them. Justin, on the other hand, to me, in my opinion, seems...well, not joyous on stage. Never seen him live. Have always thought he aspired to be tough and rappish, and it was a rather startling contrast to his actual personae and appearance. Almost a caricature, IMO. But I get no sense of joy from his performances that I have seen. But anyway, that was what I came away with, even though I like his current music, even though I feel he is having a rough path to maturity, even though he has success beyond most artists wildest dreams, I don't think he has joy. Or maybe it just isn't cool to some to show that on stage. The interview made me sad. And again, don't know him, not really trying to presume I can analyze someone from such a distance, just the way I felt when I read that interview. Would not want to be him. But I truly hope he finds his way. And as for Adam, I think for me, he brings it, every time. The order of the songs, while they may be important in terms of building a show, don't really matter to me. Because when he is on that stage, he wants to be there, he is doing what he loves, he is not too cool to show that, he captivates me, could listen and watch him perform forever. Joy boy. Walking sunshine. The voice. And damn, that boy is So Fine to look at. Very sad article. It appears that JB has no joy on or off stage. Poor social skills and few close relationships. Going through the motions of allegedly having fun. Living a hothouse life. It seems he has had a limited foundation of a strong, healthy, enriched family. He seems damaged, somehow. Such a a striking contrast to our Adam in every way.

Glamily Brasil @glamilybrasil now7 seconds ago SETLIST DE HOJE EITN/FYE Ghost Town Runnin/CH/SW Underground/Rumors WWFM ALN The Light/TOH/NCOE Let's Dance Lay Me Down/Shady/Fever IIHY Checking in right now and scratching my head when looking at the set list...I understand why they left out "Lucy" and some slower numbers but why TP/AOBTD??!! That's such a killer ending. Timing issues? Too bad. From what I gather the crowd absolutely loved(!) it though. Many of them probably don't even know what was missing.

I confused Qatar and Dubai earlier - both have bad records on how immigrant workers are treated but it is Qatar that is hosting World Cup in 2022 and building facilities (sorry).
What is up with those cups being thrown, tho? I counted three. I hate seeing that.

I think the rather drawn out band intros are a great way for Adam to show his personality to the audience and connect on a different level. That's the time when he's not in performance mode and more himself, and I can imagine that there will be many precious moments once he performs on his home turf. I as a fan will certainly eat up every extra second of the man on stage. Agreed that it would be great if Adam lengthened upbeat numbers like The Light as the show is pretty mood heavy. Not criticizing here. I really like the concept of the show. As I have only watched video footage so far I very much appreciate you sharing your perception/experience from the live concert. It sure makes the anticipation for the "real thing" even more exciting!

IMo the set list was PERFECT for the occasion! He dropped the "slow" midsection, he had to drop Lucy I guess... I LOVE reggae IIHY (I think it is a much more interesting interpretation than the straight up pop song), and the band intro was super brief and very appropriate. Lack of TP was somewhat of a surprise, ya, may be timing issues... but I am sure Adam was not late to anything...I am also sure he did not cause any delays...

Bieber became so hugely successful at such a young age. Hasn't Adam mentioned that he is glad his success came when it did because he wouldn't have had the maturity and perspective to handle fame when he was younger. Bieber never had the chance to be a normal teenager. And that is sad.

Such a a striking contrast to our Adam in every way. MY musings....IMHO Justin hasn't had a chance to explore who he really is,At least he has a strong belief in God , a God who loves him , supports him and doesn't abandon him.. My feeling is that many use him for their own purpose. He is a product ,a commodity. He was so young when he was discovered and his life with a young single mom and her parents probably had It's ups and downs. I think Of him as a Pisces ,born March 1st.. Sensitive, talented, easily influenced by the wrong people, too trusting, caring, and full of love for others, but gets used for that love.. Everything he does is subjected to public opinion.. He's famous ,he's wealthy but like Michael Jackson ,his life is hardly his own.He lives in a fish bowl surrounded by waiting sharks hoping the bowl will break.JUstin is very talented, wealthy& successful , but still he's a BOY. Will he ever be loved for his true self or only for what he can provide? Adam may never have Justin's fame or fortune, but he has had the luxury of time, loving parents and self awareness to develop into an amazing and fine human being. Who has the more meaningful life.. I guess that's subjective..I would take Adam's life over Justins any day.Adam is his own person.
