'fraid I didn't get the Gaga hype. The face painting was interesting, didn't know why the big robe. What was disappearing to be on the big screen for? Glad Nile got some highlight. I would say maybe you had to be there but I didn't see the crowd loving it either. Then the intel commercial and I went what? What was the never before stuff? But it did mean that I saw the band which I didn't see in the performance. Could just be me, I've never gotten Bowie either so if she was staying true to his performances then maybe that's it.
I must say the sound for too many performers has been atrocious. I felt like Adele's mike wasn't working so she had to push over it which sucked at her voice. Girl Crush sounded good.

Well, I'm hating Gaga's Bowie tribute. I expected to like it. Damn. It's like she's doing some kind of caricature of him. It's all about the GaGa. YEP...always about the GaGa. So disappointed.

I had to calm down before I posted. I always thought the Grammys hated David Bowie and now I know it to be true. That was the worst "tribute" ever. More like a Saturday Night Live sketch. This is not about Adam for me, it is about David Bowie -- an artist who I respected and someone I was lucky to get to work for when I was just starting out in promotion and marketing. I'm glad you said it, I was almost afraid to comment! It was awful!!!!!! Not one song was sung enough to get a feel for it. If anyone listening didn't know any of his songs, they still don't!

Csquared....the word 'caricature' kept popping into my mind as I watched GaGa's performance. I didn't hate it (well I'm trying to be kind) but I just thought she seemed all over the place.
I would have loved just a few people up there...of course Adam..maybe Mick Jagger and Elton...singing and paying tribute to Bowie with powerful heartfelt voices.
I guess I feel..less is more when celebrating Bowie and letting his songs say it all.JMHO

ETA: Why did I think this was not an appropriate tribute to David Bowie? Because the most important thing about it was Lady Gaga caricature of David Bowie -- not David Bowie's music, art, fashion and being. Totally agree. Embarrassing!

Yes, like I said up above, it seemed like a caricature. I really wanted to (and expected to) like it, but it was a joke. I loved Bowie so much.

I know more about David Bowie than I know about Adam (which is saying a lot) --- and that had nothing to do with David Bowie's music. Nothing. ETA: I think Gaga fans will like it. I think Bowie fans will tend not to like it. I am not sure what non-partisan fans will think. I am biased.

I am not watching the Grammys so I can't judge on Gaga's performance, but I am wondering what would happen if Adam took the same approach fronting Queen in Freddie's shoes?

Adam again pimping another artist. He is so special. Sorry Adam but The Grammy's haven't had the privilege of hearing your voice soar through the building. Your voice is other worldly. ADAM LAMBERT @adamlambert now5 seconds ago I feel @torikelly has the most exciting and gifted voice in music today.
Tori has a great voice though. I'm always glad when he tweets about someone I could enjoy.
