So the piano mic was screwed but what about hers? She seemed more out of whack than just the obivious piano issue. Didn't even notice the piano mic glitch. Adele, sweetie, that wasn't the problem with that performance. Look closer to home. Review it with your vocal coach. |

I found the whole show boring. Way too many slow performances. Audio engineer or sound mixer or whoever was responsible for the sound, needs tobe fired! Horrible! Have never seen a mess like tonight's show! I love Gaga but that tribute was just a "no" for me. Me too. I think the whole Grammys program formula needs an update. Seems so forced this year. But it is all about the ratings! **** I thought Sam Smith looked very pulled together tonight. Nice shout out from Adam. |

Just watched Gaga. Was she lipsyncing? Her mic use was strange. It didn't seem to match what I was hearing. And, was she trying to imitate Bowie's voice? The tone was weird. I only have a passing familiarity with Bowie's work. If I hadn't read all the raving about what an artist, innovator, and inspiration he was, if I only watched this tribute, I would be totally unimpressed with his legacy. I don't get it. It was about the whole show -- the music he wrote, the characters he created, the themes and shows. I didn't mean that I didn't get Bowie. I accept what all the pundits say about him. I didn't get the Gaga tribute. And if it didn't make me want to hear and see more of Bowie, then it wasn't much of a successful tribute, was it? |

Whatever happened, maybe it threw her off, but some of her singing was in tune and some wasn't, and I don't think it was relative to the piano. I don't really want to listen again though. Whatever key she was in, on or off, her tone was just too unpleasant. And now I'm repeating myself, so I'll stop, lol. |

Yes glad you thought so too...she was lipsynching..and/ or not even moving her mouth when the lyrics continued for a few beats. Just sad that it showed ...too much going on and in one case she was thinking ahead to the next phase/ changing costume etc when it was very visible. Edit: glad the Grammy's are over....w e have had such enjoyment in Adam land over the past months.....cannot wait for next week! I think now I understand Nile's tweet yesterday, when he couldn't make it to the CD party to perform with Adam, because they had to work very late at the Grammy's.  Ok...where is it... I checked Nile's tweets and instagrams....did he not say something a few days ago about the Bowie tribute and Gaga's use of technology etc etc. .. .if all goes well it should be good? Seemed a tad tentative to me.  |

I seem to remember a certain performance where Adam couldn't hear himself at all for the first part of a performance (Divas Ray of Light I think)... Or when his mic totally didn't work for first part of first song of first US Queen show... don't remember him tweeting about it. LOL she is right though shit happens and at least was obvious she was live :-) |

I didn't mean that I didn't get Bowie. I accept what all the pundits say about him. I didn't get the Gaga tribute. And if it didn't make me want to hear and see more of Bowie, then it wasn't much of a successful tribute, was it?Remember how Adam did his Bowie Medley on the AI Tour and he got a whole new group of people curious to just what was this Bowie guy's music was all about? Adam brought Bowie's songs to life with amazing vocals and spirited performance style. They wanted to hear more. Now that was an amazing way to do a tribute to Bowie. And LOL....who'd a thought David Bowie being sung on an AI Tour.  |
