Yes! They hit the nail on the head! My exact thoughts were the same "that was not a tribute!" I agree. Me 2. I haven't done extensive research but I have the impression that the major media sites here in the US are applauding the "tribute". Brain washed? Or is there less of an understanding of Bowie's music? Are we Adam fans over-sensitive and biased? I realize that the feedback from the UK wasn't that great. |

Yes they are deleted. Is the site clickbait? Of course it is, do note though that they are routinely quoted here when they post something nice about Adam, including the followup article. So they are either worthy or they are not, it would be disingenous to accept them as news worthy here only when we agree with their message. Oh believe me, I have noted that they are quoted here when they post something nice........... and I roll my eyes at them and their ilk. Anything from a Wordpress blog or Pressparty and many others I can't recall the names of ATM etc. are just throwaways IMO. If it isn't tied to a legit publication/major news paper/magazine it isn't anything to get excited about. YMMV Your mileage is my mileage.  |

Glamberts were in attack mode even after a follow-up article was issued that credited Adam as a gay icon appropriately. (I too left a comment on the original article, but kept it short and neutral). Some fans were rude, especially on twitter, and they even insulted SS. Embarrassing. May be emotions were running wild after the Grammys and an article about SS paving the road for others just struck that particular nerve too hard... |

Twitter is the devil! I embrace the fourth wall separating celebs from their "fans." Nile didn't really single her out, tho, IMO - it's not like he intruded on a conversation between her and her friends/"followers"(?) - she singled him out and, as if they were best buds or something, and tweeted "can I be honest? I didn't like your performance." Niles responded. Who really knows who anyone is on line - I see people questioning if she really even is a teen or not, but whoever, however old, if a person tweets out, anyone can tweet back if you don't block. Niles wasn't disrespectful to her, either. He made a point. I may not have been clear, I did not say that Nile singled her out, I was commenting on hers (at that point of my reading the thread) being the only one of the series posted. Later more of the complete conversation was added. Actually pretty much everyone truly participating in the tribute discussion portion of that conversation was civil, it was some of the others, the twitter police, that came bounding in and escalated things. Twitter is indeed the devil! Or maybe just a tool for devils?:-)))) Oh, yes - I see now. I had that mixed up - sorry :/ |
