Just got off the phone with my friend who works at Miami Airport - unfortunately, she's on her way to Naples, FL for a sunset cruise instead of at work, but she confirmed that American Airlines is the only airline at Concourse D and they do have direct flights coming in from all the islands, including Cur
She's with 30 other people right now, bunch of 20 and 30 somethings all talking at same time so couldn't ask any more questions.

That restaurant is in the Concourse D -- American Airlines. So could easily be anywhere in the world connecting through NYC.
