Alisan was once asked what she thought of Drake, ...Drake and Adam.... (something like that)....and I thought her answer was very insightful "back then".
She said something like..."whomever makes Adam happy". Bang on! In relation to her recent comment... it is pretty rare that we are all perfect about our decisions to respond or not respond. I know...I kick myself sometimes..like just last night when out for dinner with friends!
Re Moving: Those are big decisions... moving and making changes in life, career, closeness to friends/family. Change was almost a reality for me as well mid-career, but I had a 20 plus long marriage at that point. It is a big step for Sauli, in a fairly new relationship.
I was thinking if Sauli is paying his way while dating/living with ...whatever the relationship is...with Adam, ...he may have needed an extra boost with his income..so working for Dad while Adam travels etc. puts a few more pennies in the pocket. Good for him. He is not waiting at "home" by the pool (if Adam has one).

Alisan was obviously seekng attention to her tumblr and knew this was a way to get fans (Adam's) attention. I don't follow Alisan on Twitter anymore but peeps are tweeting that she deleted it? It's unfortunate that she tweeted that. It is still there, I have unfollowed her because to me, bringing it to more people's attention is kind of hurtful, especially by such a good friend (YYMV, IMHO, etc etc) ETA: To clarify, answering it on tumblr was ok with me (but ignore is still the way I would go), taking it to twitter, totally unnecessary don't understand why u would ever need to do that Maybe she has it set up to automatically tweet everything? I know in the blogs I set up for people I do the twitter link at the same time so they only have to do one thing. Most businesses try and automate as much as possible with twitter/facebook/blogs etc and then do additional one offs.

Can anyone explain to me why Adam gets such negative responses from the LBGT and straight community while Elton John, Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Lynch and Ricky Martin seem to be embraced by many and most peeps? JMHO YMMV For the most part, I think Adam gets mostly positive responses from both LBGT and straight community. I believe that we just notice the negative Adam comments more. Elton John certainly went through much more. And Gaga gets far more hate comments than Adam. Many of the negative comments about Adam are not about his being gay, some are about his style, on-stage performances, other things. Over the past year, 2 years, and since January 2009, Adam has gotten more press and far more Google search that everyone on the above list -- including Elton John. (Elton's big news story was his arrival at the Royal wedding.) The are a lot of people with negative attitudes about all LBGTs -- 48% of American (and similar in most other countries) adults do not believe that homosexuality is morally acceptable. (Not just Christians -- members of other fundamentalist religions, too.) Adam does get "special treatment" from three groups who the above list of celebrities do not have to deal with: 1. People who haven't left Idol behind - a large percentage of the negative online comments are from the same posters who were opposed to Adam on Idol. He was the centerpoint of a 'battle" that left some active solders still fighting a war. 2. Conservative Gays who think he is too radical and will cause trouble - Adam is from a different generation and there is a generation gap in the gay community. He made/makes many conservative, establishment gays nervous. These are the people who say things like "what I do in the privacy of my home is my business". But Adam kisses men on TV and on stage. 3. Politically Active Gays who think Adam is not doing enough. Finally, my theory for why Adam seems to be threatening to some people -- mostly men. For centuries Western culture has tolerated or accepted the passive gay man -- cultured and asexual. Fun to go shopping with, or decorate your home, but not a sexual threat. Now we have a young, sexy man who is clearly both gay and attractive to women. Compound that by making him an alpha male -- who openly talks about his preferences. I think this is very hard for some people, particularly men to deal with.

Don't know that site, but here is one that might interest you music fans. It has all sorts of info about performers of all genres and all time periods, and lots of links to lead you astray for hours. AllMusic.comHere is Adam's page. I already sent a request to update his bio to include Grammy nom, so don't jump on that again. Enjoy. www.allmusic.com/artist/adam-lambert-p1152615

In light of Q3's essay this morning, I think this is on topic. It sheds light on an angle, to the Gaga/Amazon thing, that I had never thought of before. Basically, the other distributors for her album are pissed! And Interscope is likely to have a whole bunch of physical albums being returned to them! How Lady Gaga’s 99-cent ‘Born This Way’ Sale Hurt Interscope, Distributors For the cost of $3.3 million-that is, $8.40 wholesale minus 99 cents retail times 443,000 scans during the two-day sale-Amazon put itself on the map as a digital music merchant, in a way that the same amount of money spent on traditional advertising could never have bought. But whether the sale helps Interscope remains to be seen. First, Interscope and Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD) shipped 2.1 million album units before street date. If they knew in advance of Amazon’s sale, you can bet they would’ve cut back on the initial CD allotment. As is, Interscope has an inventory liability, with some merchants saying they need to return product. And if some of that talk comes from a few retail accounts being miffed over the Amazon deal, some is also due to simple math. The CD album sold 449,000 units of the 2.1 million shipped, for a 21.4 percent sell-through. Second-week sales are at 174,000 units (136,000 CDs), or 27.8 percent sell-through. Read more at the Hollywood Reporter www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/how-lady-gagas-99-cent-197013This is part of the why I ranted about this "sale" last week. But it took me until this week to realize that it proved that everything had changed. You have an event album -- many retailers were told it was THE album of the year -- but consumers bought it online rather than on CD because it was only $0.99. So the retailers paid to stock the CDs, they will have to pay to pull the CDs, and in the end the landfills will get much bigger. But when Soundscan counted these as retail sales, that was then total end. The organization the industry uses to count sales save a digital album sold for $0.99 is a retail sale -- that means that albums essentially are just content for subscription services. I believe I had read that Amazon paid the full (vendor) price to GAGA and took a loss to sell it at .99.. so it would count as a sale.. oops...*badseashell* Forgot someone Happy Birthday Tigerlily Have an awesome day

As far as I remember - in the recent interview back home - Sauli said something re supporting himself and living within his own means while in LA. He came across as a very self aware and proud person with lots of self esteem. It was great to read that - gave me a "good" feeling about him...

Good sleuthing, SanDollar, re: The Marlin Hotel. Looks awesome and would explain everything. Just like when Adam was living at the Sunset-Marquis; everything was self-contained and obviously the staff are very good about maintaining guest confidentiality. He could live, work, hang out, dine well and socialize without ever leaving. He could have anyone deliver the sundries he needed. Yay for him.
Re: Alisan, imo, that person was a garden-variety troll who always have to go for the jugular and say the most heinous, hurtful, BS things (Adam can't sing. Adam is ugly, blah, blah, blah). They are patently untrue, but still prey on a vulnerability, which makes them so difficult to ignore. She was sweet and gave them way more attention than they deserved, but it was still a legit smackdown. It WAS incredibly courageous of Sauli to uproot his entire life for Adam and both of them seem incredibly happy and even if Sauli was the janitor at the Helsinki Zoo, so fucking what? Adam fell in love with him. End. Of. Story.
Like what? We employ hiring managers to book our love lives now? We can't be attracted to or have an emotional connection to someone that doesn't have a comparable resume? I'm sorry, but you're only a BF3 and we're looking for someone who's at least a BF5 or 6 for this position, but thank you for your application. We'll notify you if a position comes up in your experience and compensation range.
So lame and it's also classist and sexist thinking (people don't usually ask this of a beautiful woman who's dating a celebrity or other powerful man ... though they might be thinking it, I guess.) It's still crap and they deserve a strenuous FU – most people don't let their bank balance dictate who they may or may not love or be friends with, thank you.
(Spring2009 – I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure if your Tumblr is tied to your Twitter account, it automatically tweets out updates. I guess she could have deleted though.)

This is just Eeek ALambertpics Large back tattoo of Adam's eyes. twitpic.com/5amzbg4 minutes ago via TweetCaster Retweeted by jona5555 and 1 other Eh- that's been around for a couple of years! Creepy? Yes, but not new. I had to look this up on Pulse. 700K for the 1st week, 170K for the second, and estimation is 120K for the third week. BTW will be within 10-20K of reaching platinum. (without the Amazon sales) It's close! LOL

Gelly & KK
Thanks for the Allan Louis info.
Just a thought...
The Sauli tweet struck me as an attempt to get Alisan to say something nice about him, not as a sincere criticism. An attempt to put all of the crude remarks out in the twitterverse and have someone with personal knowledge refute them, straw man easily knocked down.

I have to admit that we on this board have also criticized most of Adam's friends at different times and it often is probably both unfair, and undeserved.
Alisan probobaly has been the brunt of the most dissing for some unknown reason. And it is happening again....honestly do not understand why but....
Monte has been dissed for trying to make a living and for his wife's unfortunate rant...which he seems to have shut down.
Tommy has been dissed for not having 'enough' talent....fan service being his most noticable achievement....and now for not being diligent enough in stopping the fans that believed that fan service. What on earth does he have to do????
Longineau had little good said about him...ever...and he had a noisy gf that caused him grief too....
Both Cherry's have been consistently dissed....soon Riff is sure to get his share I suppose :-(
How long is it before the dissing of Sauli starts in??
It really bothers me when we see this as for the most part, these all seem to be really decent people trying to navigate another person's fame without damaging their own lives in the process. Some have been in Adam's life and heart long before he acquired this fame. If we see this person who tweeted Adam about Sauli as wrong and nasty....what is the difference when we then say that Alisan was just looking for attention or Tommy isn't a good enough friend as he could stop all this any time he wished. If we really think that.....then should we not first and foremost, expect Adam to stop it all??? Of course not...it is not Adam's, nor Alison's nor Tommy's nor Sauli's FAULT and there have only so much efficacy in the situation. I am rapidly learning that it just is what it is. I am sure there is quite a learning curve for all of them and they are doing their best.
I am so glad nobody knows me much or really cares what I do or do not do...or WHO I do for that matter! :-)
JMHO....not meant to harm, hurt or offend anyone....it is a generalized rant to the heavens of Atop
