And what I love about this one ^^ is they are not mutually laughing at a joke or something funny (like the Disney one.) No, this one is just Adam looking at Sauli. Sigh! If I remember correctly, this was their first encounter with video paps. I think I might detect some proudness in Adam's look too. Yes you remember right. It was the night that Adam said to Sauli "hold my arm" when they got out of Grand Havana Room and they were about to face the paps.

Can anyone explain to me why Adam gets such negative responses from the LBGT and straight community while Elton John, Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Lynch and Ricky Martin seem to be embraced by many and most peeps? JMHO YMMV For the most part, I think Adam gets mostly positive responses from both LBGT and straight community. I believe that we just notice the negative Adam comments more. Elton John certainly went through much more. And Gaga gets far more hate comments than Adam. Many of the negative comments about Adam are not about his being gay, some are about his style, on-stage performances, other things. Over the past year, 2 years, and since January 2009, Adam has gotten more press and far more Google search that everyone on the above list -- including Elton John. (Elton's big news story was his arrival at the Royal wedding.) The are a lot of people with negative attitudes about all LBGTs -- 48% of American (and similar in most other countries) adults do not believe that homosexuality is morally acceptable. (Not just Christians -- members of other fundamentalist religions, too.) Adam does get "special treatment" from three groups who the above list of celebrities do not have to deal with: 1. People who haven't left Idol behind - a large percentage of the negative online comments are from the same posters who were opposed to Adam on Idol. He was the centerpoint of a 'battle" that left some active solders still fighting a war. 2. Conservative Gays who think he is too radical and will cause trouble - Adam is from a different generation and there is a generation gap in the gay community. He made/makes many conservative, establishment gays nervous. These are the people who say things like "what I do in the privacy of my home is my business". But Adam kisses men on TV and on stage. 3. Politically Active Gays who think Adam is not doing enough. Finally, my theory for why Adam seems to be threatening to some people -- mostly men. For centuries Western culture has tolerated or accepted the passive gay man -- cultured and asexual. Fun to go shopping with, or decorate your home, but not a sexual threat. Now we have a young, sexy man who is clearly both gay and attractive to women. Compound that by making him an alpha male -- who openly talks about his preferences. I think this is very hard for some people, particularly men to deal with. Q3 - I agree with what you say and I am no expert and have not studied this but just a couple of thoughts came to mind while reading your response above that I wanted to add. The LGBT Print media seems to be slowly coming around to including Adam in their "news". It's what they "don't" say that speaks louder than what they do (grdgingly) say IMHO. Also, I think we have to include that the 80's era of community baths etc. along with the onset of aids gave the (male) gay community a sex-crazed, debauched kind of reputation to the multitudes that knew nothing else of gay behavior. I believe LGBT leaders want the pendulum to swing the other way in the minds of the public at large. (that's why many are upset with the tone of some Pride parades, etc.) Adam himself said that the male predator image is not PC in the gay community right now - but some of them are Alpha types. THEY INCLUDE ALL TYPES. (not an exact quote) Stressing the diversity is the next big hurdle -IMHO. I'm around a large group of my son's gay friends quite often. They are not interested and do not follow AFL for the most part. But they know I do. Usually in the course of an evening, at least one of them will initiate a conversation with me wanting to know about him, the concerts I've been to and basically just get me talking about him. I think they are "secret" fans. That gives me hope. I'm going to a HUGE destination birthday party weekend in September with predominately gay male (and some lesbian) attendees. I think I"ll try to conduct some kind of clandestine survey and see if I can get a feel for the level of interest and like/dislike attitudes amongst them. I do so want to be a ninja. LOL

willowgarden not gelly, but here... There's a better one with the "look of love." It's where they are coming out of a restaurant in Hollywood and Adam is helping Sauli get to their awaiting car. Gelly? TY Gelly and MyS*&@^#r for posting the pictures. No denying that look. There is one of the Disney pictures where Adam is sneaking a look at Sauli and it reminds me of the coming out of the restaurant picture. Sauli is more in profile. Just precious !

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TIGERLLILLY!! And Q3, I USE the cloud... And I still don't get what it is. I feel stupid but I just don't understand it. Back to reading thread. A "cloud" is just a consumer brand name for a concept that was hard to get users to accepadoptt. Cloud computing = logical computational resources (data, software) accessible via a computer network, rather than from a local computer. (replacing your local PC with a corporately-owned server you access via the internet or other remote data access service (a cloud provider).) Cloud storage = storing your data (photos, music, videos, etc) on a remote server rather than on a local computer's storage device. The was originally promoted as "thin client technology" and rejected by consumers. It is now back with a friendly name and people are willing to do it. Plus, for corporations, it is easier to secure and control data in a cloud than it is to secure countless PCs. In the music world, if you have all your music on your iPod, hard for the copyright owners to know what you stole. If it is in a Cloud, it will be easy to delete material that is not legal. I do not know how it will all play out EXCEPT that CDs/DVDs will fade away now and digital formats will win, and the rights owners will figure out how to use Cloud technology to control piracy -- or they will go out of business. Okay. I think I'm a little clearer on the concept now. I think the use of the term "cloud" actually confused me more than it should have-- I was imagining my data floating around in space. Now I'm wondering-- if my info is not on my computer-- how secure is it? You don't have to answer, I realize it's off topic. It's something for me to research on my own. But thanks!

I, for one, am interested in Adam. Exclusively (and obsessively ). I have no interest in following Monte, Tommy, Alisan, the Cherrys, Sauli, Eber, Cheeks.... you get the picture. Scroll is my friend. From a sociology/cultural standpoint, I think it is interesting to read accusations (not from AToppers) of Sauli being a gold digger or a leech living off of Adam. About Sauli not having star power on his own or whatever. This is from the society that LOVES a Cinderella story. That rewrites it constantly in books, movies, TV shows, etc. Cinderella is the epitome of a "nobody", who is "discovered" for her inner beauty (or maybe not so inner, as the Prince only sees her dressed in formal wear at a ball), and ends up swept away to the castle. Where, I am pretty sure she is not cleaning out chimneys, cooking, or helping the Prince rule the kingdom. She is just there to be a loving wife to the Prince. Is this an example of the still present sexism in our society? That the man is supposed to be the provider? The woman can work, but is not required to. She is not judged if she brings in no salary and depends on the man for support. The opposite? Not so much. Unless he clearly has a "job" taking care of the kids. Just musing on another slow news day.

If Adam was in a hetro relationship and involved with a beautiful blond Finn who had a job as a reporter I would expect to see the exact same comments. I recall seeing even worse when David Cook was involved with Kim Caldwell. And about Katy Allen's acting career. Just think it goes with celebrity couples unless both are equal stars -- Bran-Angelina for example. Look at how brutally Gaga's last flame was bashed.
