Ha, ha! That's me! I have no idea what his fee was for FS. But I have an acquaintance that books acts for a casino in the Fresno area. I asked her what Adam gets. She said she didn't know for sure, but based on what she pays for other artists (almost always Country) she guessed Adam's fee would be around $100,000. Adam is still listed on the CAA Touring artist roster and people remember that they were at Adam's shows in LA in December. www.caatouring.com/Public/ArtistRoster.aspx?role= I did a little Google search - the only thing that came up is this: www.athletepromotions.com/celebrity/Adam-Lambert-appearance-booking-agent.phpI have no idea what this outfit is or if it is legit.. but the picture is nice

@thehomeplanet: GAGA STEALS AGAIN?: wp.me/p1d1wi-hBfVery interewting - indeed another rip-off Wow!!! No question there. It is not note for note, but very close. Probably just close enuf to legally squeak by. It is the same key and the same initial instrumentation/sound. Of course, I doubt that Gaga does the arrangements, or that she listens to obscure metal bands. Someone else probably lifted the intro. The question is, was it with permission? And did Gaga know?

I think Q3 knows someone who knows Adam's fee and has stated in the past that it is 100,000 and up. Gee, if it's only 40,000 we could put together an ATop private concert easily!!!!!!!!! ;D 50K is way too low. Because that's 100 people at $500 each. Or 200 at $250. And we could probably book weeks of those $250 shows. There are different kind of private gigs as well. The four songs at someone's birthday party in LA or NYC while he's in town is probably a different fee than an actual private full-fledged concert. Which he probably wouldn't even do. Because, again, if fans found out they could get him at a small venue, for a full set...well, I'm torn between shuddering to think and asking where do I send the money.

A "cloud" is just a consumer brand name for a concept that was hard to get users to accepadoptt. Cloud computing = logical computational resources (data, software) accessible via a computer network, rather than from a local computer. (replacing your local PC with a corporately-owned server you access via the internet or other remote data access service (a cloud provider).) Cloud storage = storing your data (photos, music, videos, etc) on a remote server rather than on a local computer's storage device. The was originally promoted as "thin client technology" and rejected by consumers. It is now back with a friendly name and people are willing to do it. Plus, for corporations, it is easier to secure and control data in a cloud than it is to secure countless PCs. In the music world, if you have all your music on your iPod, hard for the copyright owners to know what you stole. If it is in a Cloud, it will be easy to delete material that is not legal. I do not know how it will all play out EXCEPT that CDs/DVDs will fade away now and digital formats will win, and the rights owners will figure out how to use Cloud technology to control piracy -- or they will go out of business.Okay. I think I'm a little clearer on the concept now. I think the use of the term "cloud" actually confused me more than it should have-- I was imagining my data floating around in space. Now I'm wondering-- if my info is not on my computer-- how secure is it? You don't have to answer, I realize it's off topic. It's something for me to research on my own. But thanks! LONG Post alert, RE the Cloud: A really simple way to relate to it is this example: If you have a facebook page and are storing any pictures, posts, information you have data on the facebook Cloud. If you have a twitter related account that has picture, information etc stored then it is in the twitter related Cloud. If you have a yfrog or other online photo storage account then those pictures are on the yfrog or other online Cloud. If you have a web site the data lives on the web site hosing company server and you are on the web site data Cloud. OK, I will stop now with the examples. So to conclude: the "cloud" is just the name whomever started this trend is using to market as something we can't live without so we move EVERYTHING from our local computer to them (Big Brother Company) The "cloud" is the server/company that is storing your data. While I have a lot of data out in cyperspace I don't want ALL of my stuff on the Cloud/internet. It will make it even easier for the big guys to gain even more power. Keep an eye on how they market it to the consumer. For example, it is so easy to store your music on the cloud because it is just SO hard to back it up on you own - oh the horror of John Q public having to learn that hard task of backing it up to a separate drive or take up space on their own drive - so come to us my pretty, and we will take care of you {licking their lips} Can you tell they (the company/s that control your data) will have to pry my personal date away from me before I put all my stuff into cyperspace. Hopefully I can find a balance but our choices will become limited. Q3 had some interesting comment in her post that I bolded as an example of the ways Big Brother will further be able to control you, and if they have ALL of your information it will make it easy. AND this is good too: A comment on the "cloud". It is a "server farm" with all the hazards that go with it, ie power issues, cooling, flooding, etc. I am sure it is backed up in other locations but not invulnerable. I wish we here at ATop would put some funds together to get Gelly and another person a small server to store all of "Adam" pics, interviews, etc. If they disappear, it would not be a happy scene here. Maybe we can insure Gelly's memory also To Aloha - the "cloud" is alike a phaarrttt in the wind - it can go poof! OK, I will stop now:-) Carry on...
