Adamrocks, I met that young lady last night( glambertparty ....the picture you posted). She went to the concert with a friend, and her friend's parents were sitting right in front of us. After they met Adam at the Meet and Greet, they were so giddy! We asked them how it was, and they told us, "He's so tall, and he smells so good!" Lol. The concert was so great! My friends, who are not Glamberts, had a great time and loved the concert. That is very telling. I thought Adam sang his face off and he seemed so happy. I loved seeing him in a smaller venue. He looks like a Greek God and sings like one. I was sitting in row 21 which was about the halfway point from the stage to the exit door, and everybody around me was totally involved in what was going on, singing and clapping, dancing, etc.! It was a very diverse audience. i am also super pleased with the review from John Moser. As someone here pointed out, he is no Glambert. For him to write what he did is huge....recognizing Adam's improvement in singing style and his more sophisticated performance was accurate. It reminds me a little of the NYT review of TOH, when the reviewer said something to the effect that Adam tailored his voice to be in service to the song as opposed to Nate Reuss, who just over sang everything. There's hope for Moser yet. What at a wonderful concert experience. I have to add a DITTO to your comment. I attended my first TOHT concert with my husband who likes Adam but is not a big fan and did not GNT. He loved the concert. We had 4 other friends at the concert at my recommendation who knew very little about Adam and had never seen him live before -- they said it was one of the best concerts they ever saw. Finally, it was my first TOHT concert. I worked really hard not to learn the setlist and I have not watch any videos. I want to see the show without any preconceived notions. This was the BEST Adam Lambert concert I ever saw. He looked great, sounded better.

OT, but for those that loved Kelly Clarkson's reworked piano ballad of 'Piece By Piece' that she performed on Idol....... she has recorded that version and released in on iTunes. Just search for ~ 'Piece By Piece (Idol Version)' I'll check it out - the original arrangement was such a disconnect from the lyrics I couldn't even listen. Some songs just aren't meant to have a dance beat...

ILHSFM!!! I just just learned a new term, Supāku yorokobi, which is Japanese for "spark joy"-so perfectly describes Adam's effect on me! I hope Red Panda sees this because I think I remember she calls him "joy boy."

So he really was concerned about the front row looking up his shorts, so he wears leggings..? I'm sure he was just kidding. Specially as these are just long socks so would make no difference whatsover to his modesty! I would imagine he's seen vids and realises how daft his bare legs look with the boots (to me, anyhow) and the tunic and it's a fashion decision to pull the outfit together. So, they're long black socks!

The mighty must fall? Makes me think how people must have been salivating at the chance to teach Adam he wasn't invincible after the AMAs, after all that was a whole performance, he knew he'd be there, much more than a modicum of preparation, it wasn't a surprise win. It did take him a month to come up with an explanation and and semi-apology that I found acceptable. Now if we say that Adam has learned from that and so Sam will too then that's fine but I'm quite sure there will be other opportunities for foot in mouth from Adam. Just this week it was fur so I guess he deserved the flak he got. Love ya but I think you want it both ways. Hell no...you are putting thoughts in my mouth that aren't there. Yes he brought on the flak for both events...and he has had to learn his lesson... I am not an animal activist nor a vegetarian, but I also would not flaunt a fur coat...but it is his right. And yes, he deserved the flak he got...he is a big boy... Just because I adore him does not mean I think everything he does is perfect....perfection is not interesting, for starters. I don't know... Adam was very polite to Sam all the time. And he congratulated him today. So do we really have to drag Adam into all this mess with Sam? That "fur thing" was between Adam and his fans btw. It didn't hit the press around all the world. So I don't think it's necessary to talk about it just now. JMHO

This quote always makes me think Very good qoute. I think i am one of the few that let this whole "what did Sam smith say" totally pass me by. What a lot of talks about it and on twitter i saw that people were "attacking" adam for congratulating Sam?? Am i in kindergarden again?? Pffff. let's be happy for a man who won an oscar for a beautiful song. Let's be happy for a man who congratulates that man. And just let's be happy rhis extra day in four years, please don't spend it with negative things.

Apropos of absolutely nothing except that I was trying to find Hakuna Matata (with its no worries message ) for mzsue, and remembered this wonderful video of the casts of Aladdin and The Lion King having an extemporaneous sing off while standed together in an airport, would have loved to have experienced this in person. Moments like this are just pure magic, as far as I'm concerned.

This. Everyone mis-speaks at times, says something stupid, or unfounded, or hurtful. Good Lord, just look at the candidates for our highest office. But apparently that is not allowed in the soothing anonymity of the Twitter-verse. I listened to his speech, he did not state it as fact, he used qualifiers, and for goodness sakes, he is 23 years old. That is how you learn, by making mistakes. Here is his acceptance speech: (LINK: couldn't find a stand alone video, didn't read the article)
And he had this to say after the win: The vehemence and rush to judgement people allow themselves when using social media is frightening to me. Where's the love? Where is the kindness? Where is the forgiveness and understanding we would want for ourselves? I don't know much about Sam Smith, but if the worst things he is ever guilty of are awkward speech and writing a bad song, he is doing okay, especially at 23 with all that fame. Caveat: Not meaning to be offensive, YMMV, all the above in my opinion only. I agree, Red Panda, it sounds like people in the media are being a little harsh. (Heh, it's click bait!) I mean, 23! He's so young. At that age, I was a wild savage. I made every mistake in the book! Probably why I so refined now..
