Really, Palaver and Schtum.....both common usage where I was dragged up.... Right now, I want full sentences with those words in them used correctly please! Here goes I don't like it when people try to schlam my chatter as I enjoy a lttle palaver every now and then. Never, ever heard either word before today.

I got so excited to sign on and see four new pages. Something has happened on an off-concert day! . . . . . Nope. Just the two thousand six hundred fifty-fourth discussion of the AMA performance and aftermath. #lesigh indeed #ancienthistory (although count me in the f-loved the AMAs dodgy vocals and all #itsrockandroll camp)

happy wrote: Yes, I agree. I think it is very important to Adam's artistic soul that his lyrics have meaning and reflect the world around him and his internal world. I have nothing but respect for that purity of purpose. I also think that he is a very intelligent person, with a quick mind, and a father who possibly exposed him to the intricacies and vastness of words (guessing, but I do think this). So I think he approaches song writing wanting his songs to have depth and reflection and meaning. Even his fun songs, like These Boys, to me show a certain wit and intelligence. lyrics
And I have come to agree with those here who feel that These Boys has a real chance, with promotion and exposure, to go up the charts. For me just the way he sings the word radio is fun.
But I must disclose that I am the teensiest bit prejudiced. Adam had no hand in the writing of These Boys. He also doesn't have a writing credit on Shame, Underground and Evil in the Night. And given These Boys is a bonus track, it's unlikely to be a single. For me, both These Boys and Shame are kind of an awkward fit on TOH. They're so different in tone and mood from the rest of the songs. I also think they are the least interesting songs on the album -- kind of generic-sounding pop stuff. But YMMV, of course. Hence why These boys would smash. Generic sounding haha. I personally think with major support Toh could crack Top Ten Bb hot 100. But he needs a big first up performance. Idol good start. But then maybe Fallon. No.Ellen first up Lol.

Ok I'll play: I tend to get pretty schtum when all the palaver focuses on ancient history of music awards performances and bad acceptance speeches by people not called Adam.

What WERE his mistakes? I can't think of any at all...seriously...well, may be agreeing to BTIKM and NCOE to be included on the album was ultimately his fault... if he hadn't agreed they couldnt've become singles... and yes, AMA performance was BRILLIANT! and I agree with every word Q3 posted, except I loved the pimping...I want to add: the "dry feed" was a huge problem and so the techies were at fault... oh, boy, why can't I schtum on this subject...
