Adam is back in LA. Stealth Glam Ninja Warriors make quick work of Saturday's photographic evidence and within minutes ID'd the photo location. Amazingly, we learned that Adam really was MIA. Not "Missing In Action", but having lunch at the Miami International Airport (also known as MIA). LA Ninja's the ball in now in your court.

The Secrets of Glam Ninjas

The world of the Glam Ninja is hidden and unknown to most of us. So earlier today, I sat down with some Glam Ninja experts and learned all about these awesome women.

The origin of Glam Ninjas

The origin of Glam Ninja is obscure and difficult to determine, but can be surmised to be around the 14th century. Few written records exist to detail the activities of the Glam Ninja. In the 17th and 18th centuries, manuals such as the Glamsenshukai (1676) — often centered around Chinese tonal philosophy — appeared in significant numbers. These writings revealed an assortment of philosophies, musical beliefs, their application in intelligence gathering, as well as the espionage techniques that form the basis of the Glam Ninja's art. The word Glamninjutsu would later come to describe a wide variety of practices related to the Glamninja.

Glam Espionage

Espionage is the chief role of the Glam Ninja. Glam Ninjas are expert at observing what others fall to see and putting together obscure bits of information to determine what is going on. Glam Ninjas form a powerful intelligence network that is constantly monitoring the digital world for new information of value to the Glam Nation.

Glam Ninja Tactics

Most Glamninjutsu techniques recorded in scrolls and manuals revolve around ways to gather information and methods of data analysis. These techniques were loosely grouped under corresponding natural elements. Many were learned from the Master, himself. Some examples are:

GlamHitsuke - The practice of distracting guards by starting a fire on a stage or on one's head --- the flaming headress. Falls under "fire techniques" (katon-no-jutsu).

GlamTanuki-gakure - The practice of creating a dress from leaves and camouflaging oneself within the foliage. Often helpful to get assistance from someone who is dreaming of being a contestant designer on Project Runway. Falls under "wood techniques" (mokuton-no-jutsu).

GlamUkigusa-gakure - The practice of throwing glitter over water in order to conceal underwater movement. Falls under "water techniques" (suiton-no-jutsu).

GlamUzura-gakure - The practice of curling into a ball and remaining motionless in order to appear like a stone. (That is a stone, not stoned!) Falls under "earth techniques" (doton-no-jutsu).


Glam Ninja Attire

While the image of a Glam Ninja clad in black garb (shinobi shōzoku) is prevalent in popular media, but Glam Ninjas are much more daring and fashion-forward than that. Glam Ninjas are rarely seen but I did manage to locate a video that shows a few of these powerful women.

I have changed my recommendation on VH1 Do Something Awards to DO NOT VOTE

On 5.25.11 I recommended voting in this competition. Since then I have done some additional research and testing.

1. Voting for the celebrity online awards is just a way to build awareness for the real awards show.

2, Adam is not nominated for any award. The only way to vote for Adam is as a write-in. It takes much longer to cast a write-in vs. voting for a nominee. There is no limit on voting. So 10 minutes of Adam fan voting time can be wiped out in about 1 minute by someone voting for a nominee.

Poll rating (0=lowest rating, 10=highest rating)

Adam benefit: 3 ¨C a win could raise awareness of The Trevor Project.
Fairness: 3 - there is an attempt to limit voting for just one category but it is very easy to work around.
Potential to win: 9 ¨C The voting structure makes a write-in vote very timeconsuming.
Fan value: 2
RECOMMENDATION ¨C vote only if you are willing to work really hard.


About the awards: DoSomething.org and VH1 have partnered to present The Do Something Awards to honor young people's commitment to social change. VH1 is doing a series of online contests to promote this event ¨C they have nominees but also accept write-ins. One of the celebrity categories could help Adam but, more importantly make a difference.
