Glamberts have been patiently awaiting something special from Adam Lambert since he revealed he was making a big announcement earlier this week. That turned out to be news that a new single, Welcome to the Show, was on the way and Lambert has spent the past two days teasing the song. Today Welcome to the Show arrived in full and in the US and Canada fans can buy and stream the track now. The rest of the world will have to wait until tomorrow to get their hands on it. Welcome to the Show is a brand new song that wasn’t included on Lambert’s 2015 album The Original High. The track was recorded during a day off in New York City on Lambert’s current The Original High world tour. It features vocals from Swedish-Iranian pop singer Laleh and could have fit right in on The Original High. The song opens with a sparse piano melody and a restrained vocal from Lambert before building to a beat-laden, yet still sparse, arrangement. The power in Lambert’s voice is present regardless of whether he is singing in a low almost whisper or utilising his vibrato. Laleh provides harmony vocals and gets her own moment to shine in the second half of the song. Vocally she’s a little like Rihanna with a nasally and distinctive tone. Her voice works well with Lambert’s and together they’ve created a surprisingly low-key but effective slice of electro-pop. It remains to be seen if the single is a one-off or if it will feature on a repack of The Original High. Adam brings The Original High tour to the UK next month.

I haven't been able to listen more than a few times and have to reluctantly put down my headphones to really get to work now. BUT! I love this song. It just hits my heart. Adam's voice, Laleh's voice, the subtle rhythms that are surprising but not jarring, the lyrics. Wow. Can't wait to hear this one live!! As far as hit potential, it feels the same to me like when Ghost Town was just out. People getting excited. Although when GT started out the buzz that I saw mostly came from the Netherlands and it seems like this time it mostly comes from the USA. Feels like it could be big, this one. But I find that I just can't really get myself to worry about WTTS being a hit or not being a hit. I will buy and stream, of course (if only because I want to hear it over and over again). This is a wonderful gift, no matter what happens next. New music!! Wonderful music!! Out of the blue!!! I love surprises!Me too!! I'm hoping it will be a hit but I won't worry about it. There're so many things to worry about in life but not this little song and not Adam. He has DMG/WBR, he's in good hands. I purchased and stream because I love to hear it over and over again.

Kevin (DirectLyrics) @kevipod PREMIERE: @adamlambert will hypnotize you with his new single "Welcome To The Show". Listen here: www.directlyrics.com/new-music-adam-lambert-welcome-to-the-show-full-version-New Music: Adam Lambert - “Welcome To The Show” [Full Version]
The new music from Adam Lambert is already here! This Thursday morning (March 17) the “new single” from the “American Idol” Season 8 runner-up and the current replacement of Freddie Mercury in the band Queen was released on iTunes. The song is titled “Welcome To The Show” and it is a Max Martin production, it is co-written by Ali Payami (famous for his lyrical work with The Weeknd or Taylor Swift), and it features up-and-coming Swedish singer Laleh. In a press release send out earlier this week, Adam Lambed talked about the new song and what it was about: “I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring. I asked Max Martin for help and he paired me up with two great writers and producers; Ali Payami, who worked with me on ‘Ghost Town,’ and Swedish star Laleh who is also a featured vocalist on the track. I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are” In “Welcome To The Show”, Adam impresses us once again with his out-of-this-world good vocals, and production-wise; it isn’t the deep-house tune I was expecting, but it is a synth-pop track with a rock-y edge. Very ANTHEMIC and very in the line of what Adam had to offer in his most-recent studio album “The Original High”. The real reason behind this “new single” I think I have discovered. Adam will be performing “Welcome To The Show” tonight (March 17) on “American Idol” - at one of the last episodes of the VERY LAST season of the show that made him famous, to be more precise. It seems that his label thought it was only right to take advantage of this opportunity - for “Idol” executives welcome alumni with open arms, and give them priority for performances slots - and have him record a one-off “new single” to have an excuse to be on the show. Because from it sound, “Welcome To The Show” doesn’t seem to be a prelude, or first single of Adam’s fourth studio album. That he has yet to start recording I believe.

This morning i sat down to listen for the first time to WTTS, because there is only one first time to hear a brand new song. It blew me away from the start. The lyrics, the melody, the darker music, the intensity, the vocals of Adam a d Laleh together. It is just sublime! I could only think "he did it again!" Another great song. I have kt on repeat since this morning Do we already know who wrote the song? The official writers? I am dying to see the live performance tonight on idol! I think from the official press release, it's Adam, Payami, and Max.

And now that we get to listen the whole song, it doesn't sound at all like MLJ. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

WTTS is now 118 on U.S. ITunes total genres chart, and 41 on Pop chart. Keep going, little song! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
