LOLing at all the congrats tweets this account is getting. Guess all the gullible people are the reason so many fake accounts exist. Still SMH. Neil's real account has something like 19K followers, so it's hard to imagine that fans could have found this one and are following it. I am only aware of it bc Veronique retweeted it...I love the fake Bill Murray account, but mainly bc the real Bill doesn't tweet.. Even @gelly retweeted it. I think many fans think they are replying to his real account. Not everyone takes the time to do the few seconds of research it takes to confirm if it's a real account or not. |

I see that now but not everyone knows so if you post something like that with no comment it looses the joke aspect and becomes confusing. Most people here will know Neil is known as Negative Neil on twitter..? Not every fan, but most people here... I thought that would overcook it, to be honest... It's actually been quite a while since Neil's account has been discussed here so there are plenty of new people who aren't aware and even a lot of the fans who have been around will not look hard enough at it to realize. The account is using the same avi as Neil's actual account. My first thought was that Neil was starting a new account but seeing the tweets made me realize right away that it wasn't really him, but I follow him and am familiar with his tweet style whereas a lot of people don't and have no clue. It is quite funny IF you know it's not actually Neil. I am simply pointing out that not everyone really knows right off the bat. |
