Hi Everyone,
I've been out of the loop for about a month. I had been having problems with my Achilles tendon for a couple of months and then I tripped at work and partially tore my Achilles tendon. I ended up having surgery on February 24 and am still recovering. I was not allowed to put any weight on that foot for three weeks and ended up having to move in with my Mom and Step-Dad because I live in a house on piers and could not get up the steps into my house. My Mom lives in the country and only purchases limited data for her computer so I couldn't watch any videos while I was staying with her. I finally moved home again and I'm in a walking boot now so it is somewhat easier to get around.
I had already purchased a ticket to the Denver concert and an airline ticket before I had the surgery. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to go. I still can't get in and out of a bathtub on my own. Getting in is not a problem, but getting out is! Try doing it on one leg and see how difficult it is. I still am not allowed to put any weight on my foot without the walking boot in place. I still have 4 more weeks of that. I'm so very disappointed I won't be able to see Adam this time around. I hope at the end of summer he will do some one-offs somewhere nearby so I can see him for the TOHT.
Now I'm trying to catch up on everything that I missed while at my Mom's. I did get to see Adam on American Idol and, of course, he looked and sounded gorgeous. I have also seen Alisan on The Voice and she sounded great. Overall, I'm trying not to get down about not seeing the concert next week, but it is soooo hard! I'm glad to be back on Atop on a daily basis again, I have really missed everyone here!

Hubby just reported to me that he heard WTTS on some NCAA tournament (commercial?) he's watching and that it said Welcome to my life under it...or something like that. Yay!!! I wish radio would play it cuz I sure love that song.

Still basking in the afterglow of the show last night. We were dead centre with about 3 people in front of us. Adam was on fire and the crowd was fueling him. The show was spectacular, the venue was amazing and the whole night was everything I wanted it to be. (For some reason the thread is not letting me post pics even though they are under the size limit - so I will copy some tweets to make this a pictorial review). This was us just before we left the hotel. twitter.com/cheche4444/status/713487038226505728We had a great drive to Detroit from Toronto. Only a slight delay due to the ice storm the night before and I live in a very rural area. The main roads and highways were clear and we made great time. When we got to Detroit we did a little shopping, had a late lunch and and a ginormous fabulous frozen sangria. We drove by the venue at about 3:30 and could see lines starting to form. Went to the hotel, had some bevvies and got ready for the show. Left the hotel in a cab at 6 and were at The Fillmore within minutes. When we were in the cab Blaky from here on Atop texted that she had just arrived. We met up and were about 10th in the fastlane line. We had a great time in line - there was a group of ladies behind us and they had not yet heard CGH, I played it for them on my phone and they liked it ! I found the organization of the lines to be very well done. VIP had a line on one side of the building - Fastlane had a line on the other side of the building and everyone else was on the other side of the street. I know some people who were not fastlane were upset that they had waited for hours before people with fastlane showed up - but that is the purpose of fastlane and I know there were fastlane passes still available the day of the show and they were $10, so very well worth it. We were let in shortly after 7. They put the ladies and the men in two separate lines for security check. We each had 2 tickets - one for GA and one for the fastlane. The person scanning the tickets in the men's line didn't understand they were not supposed to scan the fastlane pass and was telling everyone that their tickets were not valid. I got through the ladies line - and Shaun told me just to carry on and go in and he would get it sorted. People were getting really upset. Blaky and I went in and secured spots and Shaun got in about 5 mins later. He said things were a shit show and eventually he just walked in when everyone was distracted. Here is a pic of the venue behind us once it started to fill up. twitter.com/cheche4444/status/713881624409202688We took turns going to get drinks, the merch table and coat check. People were pretty respectable about letting us back to our spot. As you all know by now the show was simply amazing. AFL just keeps giving us more and more with every show. I noticed the key changes and listened to my recorded stream on the way home and I liked it ! You could tell Adam was having a great time and didn't really want the show to end. During the "3rd" part of the show he was dancy, silly, playfull Adam - and we even got a call and response !!!!!! On a personal level I have had a rough few months and I anticipated I might become emotional during parts of the show, but I was just way to much in awe of everything. I had so many "feels" and I just took it all in. When we were out after the show I was quiet at one point and my friends thought something was wrong - but it was the exact opposite - I was just reflecting and digesting it all My friend Shaun who came to the show with me also came to the Kissmas bash with me in Buffalo at the last minute when my other friend cancelled morning of. He was impressed with the show in Buffalo, but I told him that the Buffalo show had been like his training wheel show and that this was going to be something on a whole other level. He entered a casual fan and he left a Glambert. During the show he had my phone and was interacting with the folks on Mixlr and he was tweeting on my account. After the show we went back to the hotel to pick up his husband who came with us on the road trip but didn't join us for the show as crowds aren't his thing. We went to Greektown for dinner and drinks and to the casio for a bit. We got back to the hotel around 3am and Shaun started posting some pics to his own Twitter account. We said goodnight and turned out the lights. A few moments later his phone started to ping and he thought there was some sort of an emergency. He had made some Glambert references in his tweets with the pics and that was all it took - his twitter feed was going crazy. I smiled and said "welcome to the Glamily". Here are a few more twit pics - like I said can't get pics to load for some reason. If anyone is looking for me I am on cloud 9 !!! Sorry for the ramblings ... twitter.com/cheche4444/status/713541587305824257twitter.com/cheche4444/status/713549122897330177twitter.com/SOLTATIO/status/713615945655255040
