I love, love, love Down the Rabbit Hole!!! But I'll throw something out that'll get ME pelted with tomatoes...*whispers* I don't like Soaked. There. I finally confessed. :-) (hiding now.) That's OK avari. I'm pretty `meh` about the album version of Soaked, but the live version makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. No tomatos for you, at least not from here.  ;D ;D ;D.. I've always FF Aftermath in the album version, but I love Aftermath Live!! LOVE.. LOVE.. LOVE.. Ohh.. Thank You all very much for the Birthday wishes...  I had to spend 3hrs of my day off today in a car dealer to fix my car air conditioning :( FL Summer is too hot for me and worst when your A/C blowing hot air .. ohh well.. it's better now... still need to fix stuff.. ohh.. yes.. Is it awful that I *really* hope Adam has a baby of his own sooner rather that later? Heck, he may not even want kids, but I look at that picture of him and Riff, and just think how wonderful it would be for Adam to have his own child in his arms. It's not awful. I think about that I hope his wonderful genes don't end with him!! ETA: I love that interview, too, jamie but it can't be the anniversary. Can it? Adam was on tour in the US this date last year. Given the number of anti-gay religious figures who have later been caught out in gay sex scandals this surprises me not at all. In general the things that we most ridicule and call out in other people are often things we ourselves are guilty of. |

Wow, heard If I Had You on my radio today - for the first time in a looooong time. I was checking out the new Sirius line-up. Hits 1 (top 40 channel) hardly ever played Adam, except for WWFM for a little while. So I was surprised to try their 2nd pop station, 20 on 20, today and the first song I hear is IIHY - wow! They seem to play top 40 with some older things mixed in. So excited to hear it again after such a long radio drought! Woo hoo - SO ready for new music (but not all the angst that'll come with it).
I listed to a few of David Cook's new songs (I have never really heard ANY of his tunes in the past and didn't know who he was really) and I think out of the 4-5 I heard, the best one was picked for the single - but I still found it kinda boring - just the others were more boring. I like Daughtry's recent radio tunes better. So it surprised me to hear he wrote 80 songs - wow - that's a lot of songs, no wonder it took so long.

So, yeah, Adam, I am calling you a liar for saying "you liked the image" I always knew that was a  I LOVE THIS INTERPRETATION SO MUCH!!! I know, poor Adam made an attempt to keep something for himself and he gave this up because a friend asked him to share. I just love him so much and the story is beautiful and perfect for him. Saw somewhere that it was the anniversary of the Justin Collins interview. Just got sucked in again, hysterical. Actually, I have no doubt that Adam would have explained the symbolism in future interviews (maybe he was saving it for interview fodder?), but he then he wouldn't begrudge Hans the opportunity to talk about it. Yaay to that, because we get Hans' own interpretation of both Adam and the art. I'm sure it was just way to much to get into in the context of a Twitter party, but I thought his "it's not that deep" approach was so cute. And we all know that with Adam, it almost always is that deep. And deeper still. |

WWFM is my favorite song on FYE. I love everything about it, the voice, the plaintive and pleading message - everything. Sounded great on the radio too. And the release of WWFM - so timely and perfect - right after the AMA fiasco. Even the music video - perfect. And I think the message hit home with the public as well, even resulting in a Grammy nod. My second favorite - IIHY. Like Fever a lot too. 8-) He is so about message and meaning - love the tattoo story. Love the Man.  see... how we are all different and have different tastes - but ALL of us are here in admiration of ONE MAN and his UNIQUE VOICE! WWFM is the only song I dislike...the only one that I routinely skip on my iPod or while re-watching various GNT concerts... ( everything about it annoys me: the music, the lyrics, the message...it fees like endless "whining" to me...) DTRH - is high up on the favorite list, together with Fever... Soacked and BO are the top favorites. BO album version is the only song that IMO can compete with his live performances... Hans Haveron story - WOW! I am so excited we have the "real" meaning of the key...it is much deeper than I expected, and it is soooo Adam! I am (yet again) completely smitten by his wisdom. Adam having his own baby - NOOOO!!!! NOT YET! He needs to concentrate on his carrier! He needs to travel the world bringing his music with him and not feeling "guilty" that he doesn't spend enough time with the child.... I say - 10 years from now would be good... |
