Morning Everyone! I call this BS too! if i dont see an article on Mac Rumor or Appleinsider i am not going to believe it. I checked the main Finnish mac forums, and nothing there. I remember that in the beginning of June there was a little article in one Finnish computer magazine with a link to Patently Apple page. (I don't know this page and how trustworthy facts there are. So here's the link if you like to check it...) June 02, 2011 Apple working on a Sophisticated Infrared System for iOS Cameras www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2011/06/apple-working-on-a-sophisticated-infrared-system-for-ios-cameras.htmlMia, YW

Just peeking in... and this is outrageous!!! Sort of goes to what Q3 said the other day in the "cloud" discussion about the possibility that keeping your music in the cloud could also lead to music companies putting some code on things to monitor if tunes are subsequently downloaded or used by others... Right now only Apple it saying this, but what if all the camera/phone makers were to do this. Could you imaging being "dry" of any Adam concerts. (To keep my comment Adam related:-) And also, what about people the video their own personal concerts or events - how can big brother know the difference, and they should not even be doing it in the first place.

And in other news, which I heard on TV yesterday and just read about at this link . . . Lip-Syncing on You Tube Could Lead To Jail TimeExcerpt: Where was this tough new law 10 years ago? We could have been spared Britney Spears. Having solved all the vile criminal activity on-line, here comes Senate bill 978, going full-tilt boogie after….You Tube lip-syncers. Really? We’ve all seen the cute You Tube videos of the little kids singing along to The Beatles; we post them on WOMC.COM all the time. You can become a cyber superstar by doing that. People get millions of hits with their lip-sync videos. It was only a matter of time before the record company’s called “Foul”. The new law would protect the songs copyright and make it illegal to upload a lip-synced video to You Tube. Thanks yippie...that was a really interesting talk...love those TED talks...there is a place to get lost. Do we have a specific thread for this techie talk? I love it here..not complaining...but this is really fascinating stuff and important to both Adam's and our future enjoyment and use of media. We are so lucky on this fandom to have several very knowledgable people in these areas.... I am not particularly interested in numbers but in technology and its effects on us in this and other versions of our RL.
