skaschep, about that 2 part vblog you brought over. With the gal who was disappointed a bit in the energy at the Amsterdam show. I know from the recap that she knows some atopians (and may even be one herself, don't know) so I apologize in advance if I offend with my view. I read both parts and I was just struck with the sense of karma in both parts 1 and 2. I'm wondering if she reads it over again if she sees herself and the back of her head in the eyes of the young girls behind her whom she summarily dismissed while she complains about the tall woman in front of her. If the sense of "I" "I" "I" was spread equally about in others in the crowd then how is the sense of "WE are all in this together" ever supposed to start manifesting in the atmosphere? I can't help thinking that she got back what she gave. Jablea. The vlog was only the YT video I brought over. All the other text was my experience on the show and my perspective. I wasn't complaining about the big girl in front of me though. I knew she was there. She paid for the photo op and I didn't pay for any VIP so she had every right to be there. I never said anything to her about her blocking part of my view. I was just looking for explanations to why I was not completely overwhelmed with Adam's concert. Don't get me wrong. We had a blast and Adam was great. It was just that I thought before the concert that I would react differently as I'm very sensitive and I react to his music and Adam quite strongly. Maybe just to much on my mind. And for the younger girls. My sister agreed with me completely on my point of view. There were a lot of smaller ones standing behind us. If we would have let them through we would have let more through. They maybe could have come earlier to the venue to stand in line to get more to the front. It wasn't even them asking if they could stand in front. It was more about them jabbing about it for 45 minutes and complaining behind our backs that they couldn't see anything. My sister and I are both 1,70 m (5 inch 7). That's not big for the Netherlands. It was very pushy at that point and everybody was really fighting for positions and some were also trying to squeeshe through although they weren't there before. I really enjoyed reading that last night, when I couldn't sleep 'cos I'm still so sick coughing and I can definitely relate. I thought you were being very honest. Adam's voice was powerful, his presence awesome, strong. Nic and I were in the third row, which was great 'cos Dutch people are very tall! To see him in front of me, was like, is this real?!!! But yeah, it did feel like he was going thru the motions. I felt he didn't really connect. I put it down to it being the first gig of the tour, and Adam was just warming up. It's a shame really, 'cos I may not see him live again. And maybe your sister won't either. But QAL now, that's a different story...

I love reading 'real' comments and reactions....and I know for sure that a Stander in GA can be the nicest most accommodating and unselfish person in the world and be abused by those around them. Sometimes people just behave badly. It's very simple. It doesn't call for analysis of one's own contribution to the situation. Every show has its own character and impact. Without the lows you don't get the highs....London was, for me, exactly as Freaky has described the 'feel' of Amsterdam, above....(my bolding) But then....there was the show after London!!!!!
I hope you both get to see your own versions of MANCHESTER one day.

Skaschep...Thanks for sharing your Amsterdam experiences. I can totally relate and appreciate you sharing your feelings. Sometimes you have things pictured in your mind, based on your own previous experiences or as a result of watching vids or hearing recaps of "Best Show Ever" by others...and you have expectations. Sometimes there are distractions from those around you if on the floor or folks in the balcony wanting you to sit, etc. ...sometimes not so much. Each Adam show is different. What is a Best Show Ever to one person may not be to another. There are so many variables. You just never know when Adam will feel and react to the audience's energy...or if he's a little tired or under the weather, etc. Or if you'll get a full show or a shorter show with fewer songs. It's hard to predict when choosing a show to attend upfront. Some folks only get one show...one chance and no opportunity to pick and choose. The more shows you attend, the better the chances you'll get a "Manchester". But those really loose, wild crazy house party shows are the exception rather than the rule. As far as him not talking....I got the impression watching the periscope that either there was no lighting on him (on the periscope I never saw a spot light) or the timing was off in the direction and they went onto the next song. I think I saw him smile and look around like something in the production's timing was off. That may just be me IDK. Another thing, being the first show starting this EU leg, may have had a few glitches, etc. His shows tend to get better the more he does IMO and when he gets just the right audience energy, you often get a super show. I have never seen a bad show and I have seen many really good shows and only a couple of Best Shows Ever. Anyway, I'm so glad you have another opportunity to see a show in Denmark. Hope it's a really good one!

Heard A Kiss From a Rose on The Voice and remembered this: Still love the Upright Cabaret songs. Damn this kid can sing. Might even have a future in show business. Thanks for bringing this here. Beautiful! What a contrast to the guy on The Voice! I watch most of the singers I see on television now and constantly think Adam could do that so much better!

Thank you all for your kind words! There were indeed some glitches at our concert as Adam was signaling a lot! He also missed his que on FYE because his monitors didn't seem to work properly (or so it seemed). He urged the band to play faster during TL/TOH/NCOE medley I think as well. There was a lot going on! But yeah it's a shame for all those people who haven't seen Adam at his best yet and won't because this was their only concert. There were maybe close to 4,500 people in that venue and it would have been nice if he would have just talked some to make that connection. When I ever get a chance to ask him what happened I will, but chances are small I will. It was my first Adam solo concert after QAL last year and the 538 Live gig in October and it was great, but there was something missing. Das gewissen etwas they say in Germany.

Skachep, I’m sorry I jumped to conclusions. Karma comes back and now it’s biting me. I should have deleted like I do with so many posts I write out and then think better of. I had let it sit in draft for several hours so as to post it at the end of the day when a new thread would take over. That thought process should have alerted me. I can tell that you’ve thought over it and come to the conclusion that based on all the variables you did the best that was possible at that time. That’s all anyone can ask. {{Hugs}}
